You are Wrong. Eartha Kitt IS the original Cat Woman. And, Batman was never the same for me after she left. Julie Newmar Sucked, IMHO, and she sure could never touch the performance of Eartha Kitt!

No, I am right. It is your opinion that Julie sucked. She did not, but you are entitled to your opinion. The fact that Julie was first is a FACT, not an opinion. Julie played Catwoman in the first (1966)season. Lee Merriwether played the role in the movie. Eartha played Catwoman on the show AFTER Julie left the series.

I can remember seeing her in a movie the Sidney Poitier where he was a piano player and she was a songstress, or something like that. I had to be about 14 at the time. I was like, "Wow, is that Eartha Kitt?!" She was so beautiful, with a luscious, well chiseled, sensuously curvaceous figure. I had to remind myself that I wasn't the only one in the room, I was so turned on by what I saw. She was a most beautiful actress:)

hell no......she went through controversy but she did not lose any work or was banned from her homeland. in fact i think she won an academy award after the controversy. speaking of the oscars they did not include eartha kitt in the tribute to people who died in 2008. this is why i believe janet should portray her because she went through the super bowl and i think she would do a good job but b4 anyone attacks me, this is just my opinion.

Well at least Miss Kitt lived to be celebrated by blacks/whites including the younger generation. It's sad Dorothy Dandridge did not live longer to see change.
Blacks in entertainment had it rough Billie Holiday, Lena Horne. Sammy Davis and others have spoken openly about it.

they did that to so many entertainers. i read a biography on paul robeson and they did the same thing. coicidentally a lot of information on paul went mysteriously missing when the biographer was doing his research on the fbi/j edgar hoover investigations they did on paul because after so many years i believe a lot of that information is public record.
