Phil Mogg, Chapman, Pete Way, they still wanna play. They get Bonham and Vinnie Moore for a seriouss studio warm up jam. I think it's great. Bonham's tom miking sounds great on this song and Vinnie's giving Schenker props with an accurate rendition. Like many others here, I grew up with them and admire them for keeping it alive!
My friend and I found some insane recently released file collection! Check it out, its going to astonish everyone! Certainly proceed to ufosecretXnet (replace X with . )
Been listening to UFO since the mid seventies as well. I agree they never got the airtime they deserved, especially after the Light's Out album and tour. But I believe Michael Schenker (who is an awesome Guitarist) had too much bagage that may be "why" they did not get as much credit as they deserved... Who knows?? I bet Moog does...
I read a fairly extensive article one night on the web and it talked about what went down back in the day. The author claimed that Schenker couldn't handle the partying lifestyle, especially the heavy drinking. As a result Mogg was constantly hassling him cuzz he couldn't party with the big boys only making matters worse...that in combination with not handling with very well caused him too split...
It was a good article...that's my two cents, don't know if its true or not ...?
Oops, typo...! "that in combination with him not handling FAME very well caused him to eventually leave". Some day I will have to learn how to type....
Timeless is right...absolute greatness. They hit on so many levels. Mogg had the soulful vocals, Schenker with the piercing guitar and the rest of the group just dead solid.
This band is timeless. The music industry is so screwed for not giving these guys the airtime they've deserved over the years. Regardless of the lineup, the latest is smokin, they have always been great. Phil, you gotta be ancient and cant remember your own lyrics, but you can still read w/o your glasses. Rock on guys.
THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD! Been listening to UFO since 1978, and still do, have not heard any one who even comes close. These guys should have been bigger than the stones, zeppelin, etc.I will NEVER understand why they were not. I turned on my 12 year old nephew to UFO, now he is a die hard. These dudes are timeless. Only saw them once. I was there for one of the shows when they recorded Strangers in the Night, ill never forget it. Hope Pete gets better, its not the same without him.
Cool. My year was 77 and also saw them at one of the Strangers shows. And I agree with everything you say. The only reason for them not achieving the same notoriety as Stones etc was they were not part of any major movement in pop culture like the Brit invasion etc. They also never got the marketing hype so many other bands got. Just a tight, kick ass hard rock band!
This is one of those awesome groups that I grew up with. I sure hope they all made enough cash in their careers to be comfortable. They deserve it so much.
wow, that was awesome. and only 3 years ago. saw them in concert back in the 70s (or 1980, don't recall). what a bunch of overlooked excellent musicians. got their live album and i was hooked.
I was skeptical hearing this because MS wasn't in it. But after listening to it I have to admit it is very good. Nice modern drum sound too. Brought back some memories. Thanks for posting.

@UncleSpooler I'm sorry, Paul Raymond, not Chapman. Paul's been in and out since way back.

Good..but doesn't compare to the original studio version.

I am so partial to this line up than the earlier UFO. Jason Bonham and Vinnie Moore flat tear it up! Love this stuff!

@TheGUITARidiot These old farts like Mogg and Dan McCafferty could show this new punks how to sing-period. Impressive at such an old age!
