Reminds me of how folks try to say that Haitian Kreyol is "broken French" or "slang French". It's not a dialect. It's a distinct and separate linguistic entity.
this is right. ebonics is systematically different from english. this is why integration is bad because as soon as we integrate with whites the pressures to lose ebonics are gaining. i hope my native language ebonics stays around.
