  • also thanks for the info on the price of the trip, alot more economical than one might have thought

  • 100 stars from Russia.

  • I can see Siberia from my backyard.

  • Excellent video Tom, iv'e not been on this train but i have travelled to Yaroslavl Region on the 'sleepy' trains :) i know you know what they are like, quite an experience. My wife who is from Danilov in Russia says 'spasiba!' Tom.

    Poka Poka.

    Dave - UK.

  • Enjoyed the vid, thanks. I did the trans-Mongolian recently going from Beijing to Moscow. The whole trip was from Japan to the UK by train (and boat), took a month.

  • I'm going to Japan, and would like to go back via Siberia on a train. But one month is ridicolously too long

  • 5 stars

  • the Caspian sea is the worlds largest lake

  • Baikal is the world's largest freshwater lake

  • And the Caspian Sea is world's largest lake.

  • A lake is always freshwater, and the Baikal lake is the deepest, not the biggest

  • wrong, a lake is NOT always freshwater, now go and read a little and return

  • @MickeyLove01

    You are wrong.

  • @almanet I didn't come to that conclusion, it's a fact stated by the worlds geographical experts. Salt water but still a lake and the worlds largest. So, it's not ME that is wrong. I know bizarre snippets of knowledge that you couldn't even comprehend.

  • The Caspian sea is a lake, but is a sea :)

  • What program did you use to get the inset snapshots during the video?

  • All of the video was produced in Ulead VideoStudio11

  • Can you get out of the train in one russian cites, and then continue to travel the same train ticket?

  • no, you need separate ticket for each part of your journey.

  • Great video!!!

  • sa sti:D

  • wana go to? :>

  • I would like to:D

  • i am gonna make this journey too, i made mymind up allready long ago.

  • I livinng in Siberia (one of cities on trans-siberian railroad) Thank you for this clip! Interesting to see foreghner's look at my native places.

  • Great vid! Brings back memories...

  • man, i had to write again..but i watched your video two times and I gotta say, not a lot of youtube "trip" videos can make me just chill back, and think about life when watching it. the choice of cinematic orchestra is a VERY FITTING decision. One day I hope to make this trip.

  • trans-siberian trip is one of my dreams! props for taking this trip!

  • Hi Tom!

Absolutely wonderful clip, nicely edited, good music, photos and all in all very warm feeling. Ah im smiling here since my journey starts next Friday from Beijing.

Will be fun im sure and this sneak peak serves as a preview for me. 18 to 19 days of travelling through Mongolia and Russia. Really looking forward it.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I'd definitely take the gold class cars.

  • Well done. You made me feel like I was on the trip. Good music, nice editing, enough personal touch mixed with images of the landscape and villages. Thanks.

  • always wanted to do that

  • i would pay 596 for that trip

  • Well I guess you wont be getting a ticket any time soon then ey

  • Wait nm... i saw the 2 negative thumbs down and thougth u said wouldnt... dont know how you got 2 negative thumbs though

  • looks like a great VIDEO:

Where are you from. I appreciate your interest in my homeland coutnry

  • great video, i like it:)

  • Looks like a great way to go. I'd want to stop at some of the places for a day or so.

I guess the only thing I'd worry about is the lack of showers in the cars. Those beds must get dirty over time. Maybe I'd take some kind of bed & pillowcase liner, but they can't be any worse than some of the guest houses on Koh Sahn Road in Bangkok.

  • Thanks mod83,

Any important tips? I'm planning to do the trip this year.

    Cheers

  • How long does it take to do the Moscow to Hong Kong trip?

  • However long you want. Minimum 7 days, recommended 3 weeks

  • Great! I did this railway too in 2006. It was an unbelievable experience.

  • That is a great film!

  • how mutch is the ticket?

  • i like it, u r lucky. congratulations from panamá, for that cool film.

  • super film
