with all tans you have to wait the full development time prior to exposing your skin to water. Hot tubs will wash off your tan quick as they contain chlorine, so it is best to avoid when you have a fake tan :)

Mmm, here's a 'tip' - do the spray tan I pay you for! Goodness! Do you tip the news-agent when you buy a newspaper from him? No. You just pay the going rate for the item! How can you give someone money to do something, then give them extra simply because they have done the thing you JUST paid them to do?

You can choose to wear what you like some people go nude while others wear g-strings and others their swimming costume. If you are blonde it is a good idea to wear a bonnet to avoid tan dying your hair

try versa spa sunless tanning booth. its wayyy better than mystic. it lasts about a week, is very even and natural looking. i work in a tanning salon, and its the only thing i use.

this was very informative, but remember that even when you have a (real) tan you are no more protected from the sun than when you don't.... so always wear sunscreen!

** I say this because she commented on having 'natural protection' from a normal tan and that is not true!

I went to Cheryl's website and viewed the tanning solutions she recommends. The whole website is very helpful. However, the spray tan salon I made an appointment with uses Brazil Bronze, and doesn't offer any others. Does anyone have some experience using this type of spray tan solution?

Everyone here should make the perfect tan by going down to a pharmacy and buying fake tan lotion and sun block get half a palm full of sun block then add a bit of tan mix together and apply its fantastic!!! x bye girlies!! x

LOL go get some tanning oil and lay in the sun for like 20 min on each side everyday.

Im purtorican and i tan really good lol so i dont need anything but my mom and dad are all pale haha

Thats the problem I don't tan I burn and really easily too. I have a lot of people in my family who got skin cancer so I don't want to take and chances. I think I found a fake tanning spray that works though.

liluv89 - im the exact same as you, i don't tan i just burn.. even if i try all the tanning oils and things nothing seems to work, my only suggestion is to buy a creme that gradually darkens your skin tone.

right now im using Jergens natural glow dialy moisturizer and all I do is apply it were a want to be darker, and i a week (or a bit longer) you start to see a tan. It won't make you look like you have a fake tan or orange, you will jsut look like everyone else.

So true about the booth thing... I had a horrible experience in a booth and they ended up having to go back and fix it all by hand anyways (I had only gone to the booth so I wouldn't have to been seen naked, but then they had to fix it while I was naked anyways!) My back looked like a leopard.  I just wear skimpy underwear or a thong to get it done and go topless, it's not a big deal!

Do you know what? I found this immensely useful. I'm a user of sunbeds - only use them every 2-3 months, but considering getting fake tan. This short video has definately helped me in my search to find a decent salon and what the best way to apply the tan is. Cheers!

Depending on where you live... In Australia expect to pay between $20-$60. On adverage I find most places in NSW charge $35. You can still tan in the Sun, just remember to wear an SPF to protect your skin from burning.

I haven't as of yet seen a tan that applies instantly. Beau Bronze in the Uk do a 4 hour tan which is the fastest spray tan I have heard of. It is also very good.

That was really helpful. I had a bad spray tan that used a cream for my hands and feet and the tan went really patchy. I now know that there are other places that will do a better job. I was going to give up on spray tans but think i wil give it another go with your advice. Thank You.
