  • The GOAT, in my book.

  • 1:15 to 1:20 is perhaps just pure TALENT from the dream!

  • HAKEEM OLAJUWON simply deserves to be included along with MICHAEL JORDAN, KAREEM ABDUL-JABAR, WILT CHAMBERLAIN, MAGIC JOHNSON, LARRY BIRD, BILL RUSSELL, JULIUS ERVIN, OSCAR ROBERTSON and MOSES MALONE in the elite list of THE TEN (10) GREATEST PLAYERS IN NBA HISTORY. Never underestimate the Heart of a Champion. Thanks Hakeem.

  • this was a bad dude

  • Those were the days!

  • There will never be another dream

  • the greatest center of all times, the third greatest player and most importantly, the most honourable basketball player ever. He graced the game with his presence. Never have I seen such a humble, principled superstar.

  • They don't make em like the dream anymore

  • kareem has the sky hook, wilt has the pure inside dominance, russell is the greatest defensive player ever but the dream can do it all. he is quick, strong, athletic, he has the dream shake, the jump hook, the fade away and on each move, he has a counter move. he has no weakness. shaq is so lucky he didnt go up against a much younger hakeem that singlehandedly dismantled a powerhouse la lakers in 86. he got his chance in 95 against a 32 yo hakeem but his ass was served.

  • The dream has this aura that everytime he goes out of the locker room, his team will always have a chance of winning. Jordan has it, Magic, Bird, ISiah and now Kobe. There will be no other center like him. Critics will say its Kareem, Russell or Wilt as the greatest center ever, but man, take those mvp's, rings, stats out of the window, just focus on the overall impact in the game, the pure talent and dominance, he is number one. no other center moves like him, plays like him. he is the best

  • For someone who watched Hakeem in his prime, I can say that he's definitely 1 of the top 4 greatest centers of all time.....

  • watching this video, cant help but think of hakeem as the optimus prime of all centers. just like in the movies the transformers, the autobots are always outnumbered, outsized but what they have is a great leader that equalizes every advantage the decepticons have over them. just watch him carried his team when sampson was gone, going up against teams with legit two to three all stars. amazing. truly, an all time great.

  • The twin towers could have built a dynasty in houston. if sampson just took good care of his body, and the rockets just added a solid pg, they could have supplanted the lakers as the team to beat in the west. dream could have won at least 5 rings, three mvp's and respect that he truly deserve as the greatest big man ever to play the game. anyways, his 94-95 rings just solidified his place as among the greatest and he will always be remembered as greatest foreign born player ever.

  • incredible video yoyo - cbfc

  • Hakeem The best!!!

  • Best Hakeem tribute I've seen.

  • I swear if he would have had Pippen as his sidekick and Jordan didnt Hakeem would be known as the greatest player ever... The guy is so underappreciated it sickens me. He won his first title with less help than anyone who has ever won a championship

  • @jreimold34 I consider Olajuwon the best center to play the game, but please show some respect to the GOAT of the game, His Airness Michael Jordan. Praise them for the fact they didn't decide to pair up and dominate the league for 12 years winning 12 rings each. They loved to compete against each other and that's what makes them the best. Today's NBA starlets prefer to have strong players on their side to make everything easier.

  • @yowyOw69 Jordan has all my respect... Im just dishing it out to Hakeem too... In 94 he won a title with Otis Thorpe, Robert Horry, Vernon Maxwell, and Kenny Smith as his other 4 starters... Major props to Hakeem AND MJ. Favorite Jordan vid is MJ vs Lebron how quickly they forget, go check it out!

  • @jreimold34 I've watched it many times. But today, I've watched it just before this one :P . Yeps, Olajuwon won that ring without big names by his side, but remember that no one wins a ring by himself. Jordan's Bulls were not there, so he had the chance to show everybody why we think he is the best center ever. But he & MJ couldn't do it in their prime because they had to face the best NBA team ever (80s Celtics), one of the best (80s Lakers) and the best defensive team ever (Detroit Bad Boys).

  • @yowyOw69 what do you mean MJ couldn't do it in his prime? MJ won a 3 peat ('91-93) in his prime. MJ was prime from 1987-93. Wouldv'e been prime from 1987-95 had he not have gone to baseball.

  • Make another video of this guy please and include the 95 season! This was awesome

  • Thumbs up for David Stern's mustache.

  • Dammmmmmmmmmmmn!!

  • I think MJ is the Greatest of all time , but Hakeem is the best center of all time there is no center like him ... He is not the Greatest but when people talk about basketball he must be mentioned with other great players ...

  • @basketballer009 He's the Greatest Offensive and Defensive player this league has every seen.

  • 3:00 is epic

  • Dude, whoever put this video together is a saint! Mad props for the upload!!!

  • The best choice back then to pick Hakeem, Houston rockets wouldn't be known for 2 championships without him. Hakeem is the one who made Rockets known to be the best with 2 championships in their life time.

  • LOL@ 3:20 KJ is stunned. Hakeem definitely in the top 5 possibly top three of greatest centers.

  • dominated Shaq and Ewing in the finals...

that shows you that he's #1 ppl try and say Kareem but id like to

see his skinny ass back up Hakeem in the Post he'll get a Dikeme Finger wag!

  • i think hakeem was better than jabbar and any center before and after him, but nobody dares to say it loud because of the records jabbar and others got. like russell and chamberlain. but seriously, i think hakeems rockets are the only team i can think of being able to beat the bulls at least in one final series of the 90s.

  • Great athlete, great heart

  • The best center in NBA history

  • 7 feet tall w/ the footwork & hand speed of a guard. A dream shake that made his shots nearly as unblockable as Kareem's sky hook.

Brilliant Passer, consistent perimeter shot, multitude of low-post moves, can create his own shot off the dribble, ability to dominate a team defensively without entering foul trouble.

    ====

You can build a dynasty with Hakeem as your best player. Hakeem dominated Center when the NBA had multiple HOF centers throughout the league.

  • people forget that this gentleman did beat the best centers of his era ... David Robinson in the WCF of 1995 When David Robinson Was the MVP of that year and Hakeem crush David, Patrick Ewing in the 1994 NBA Finals and Shaq in the 1995 NBA Finals... People, Shaq was the most dominant center in the 90's, but the only thing that Shaq did and does is dunk the ball, Hakeem was more a complete player... HAKEEM WAS A BEAST!!!!!

  • Brilliant mix you've done here.

Might sound a bit corny, but watching The Dream play basketball was a work of art. Centers today don't even come close to the greatness that was Hakeem Olajuwon.

  • wow, kinda makes me wanna cry. the dream, man.. jordan, what?!

  • so many people doesn't like the plays of houston at this period but they give me a lot of emotion with the two title in the middle of the 90's.Big men,big player, big carreer, big life, hakeem so great.thanks for this video.that's remind a lot of good times.

  • 1 guy does drugs!

    hakeem, you're just amazing!

  • Love you Dream!!!!!!

Best combination of size, speed, power, agility, feet, offense, and defense.

Thank you Coaches Guy Lewis and Rudy T, Clyde, Moses, Les, Bill Worrell, and all of Clutch City!

Time for the Chuck Wagon, Ice Cream Scola, K-Mart, Kyle, Bud, P-Pat, Courtney, and company to make a run for the playoffs!

  • Houston 4 ever and always!!!the greats olajuwan, drexler, tomjanivich, sampson, and murphy

  • My favorite player of all time.. a beast on and off the court.. ive had the pleasure of meeting him 3 times and i can say all 3 were some of my greatest experiences ever.. the dream will live on!

  • best Hakeem Olajuwon mix, great soundtrack also. Def my favorite center all time. To me he had the best of all of the greats put together. Like a mix of Russell, Chamberlin, and Jabbar all in one to make the greatest center of all time. Although none of those were as agile as he was.

  • nice video i liked it :)

  • rockets just roasted the nuggets

  • a rare combination of power, finesse, quickness and agility. the only player who comes close is david robinson but everyone knew how the dream demolished the myth of the admiral. some would say that wilt and shaq are more dominant. but if you will compare their games to hakeem, these two are very limited offensively. in defense, these two can only rebound, block and intimidate. hakeem can do it all. rebound, block, intimidate, steal,a great post and face up defender. simply numero uno.

  • most graceful center of all time hands down!!!!!!! an to think of how late he started playin the game is jst eye poppin.......his passion is wat really got me!!!!!! he could will his time to victory wit skil an heart.....aaaaaaaaa-mazing

  • forget about shaq, duncan, chamberlin, russel, abdul-jabbar and so on. hakeem olajuwon is the most graceful centers in NBA history. and btw, this video is totally EPIC; just like hakeem himself!

  • to be such a skilled/talented/unique player and still be so humble and graceful is truly admirable. we'll never see another hakeem again.

  • not many guys like Hakeem come around. easily top 10 all time nba greats

  • Aw... I wish he showed how he dominated Shaq in the Finals also. ;( Great vid nonetheless!

  • Great basketball player. Great personality. I loved Hakeem.

  • So underrated 3 rd best center of all time!!!!!!

  • HAKEEM OLAJUWON = G.O.A.T

  • man. it's just a pleasure to watch this guy ball. true poetry in motion.

  • who is the guy taller than hakeem at 0:40 ?

  • @500ncb ralph sampson he was a beast until he got injured he played with hakeem for 2 years

  • @aha3e1 thanks i went to look for ralph sampson videos. and he is really a beast.

  • 1:07 over bird,mchale,parish ..talk about greatness

  • best center to ever play the game, hands down ! yeah, better than bill russell, wilt chamberlain and all that shit, don't forget, the league of olajuwon is much better than the league of wilt and bill .

  • David Robinson is the only ONE who clicked the DISLIKE button. Thumbs up if you agree! LOL! :)

  • @MrHottiemoe or Shaq

  • i like hakeem more than mj. he is more humble than mj

  • 1:25 is vicious, maybe criminal

  • i love this video, i wish i could of seen him and clyde drexler play

  • He was awsome!!

  • man I miss Hakeem.

  • i forgot what movie this song was from which one was it?

  • @jazKeyz Transformers

  • @jazKeyz

Song is "arrival to earth" from transformers

  • Hakeem= Most complete center of all time bar none.

  • Picking Hakeem over Michael wasnt a mistake really

  • A brilliant video made to make those who forgot remember a brilliant player. Loved it!

  • I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments Hakeem was easily my favorite player ever and is often overlooked when people mention the greats who've played the game. If I was able to help people relive his unique talent through this video then my job here is done.

  • @TheYoyo There is an article about Kobe Bryant on ESPN.com by Scoop Jackson which has sefveral respected experts ranking Hakeem in their top 10. The article is about Kobe, but it's a good read to hear some long overdue Hakeem love.

  • @TheYoyo I talked to a former teammate of his... He told me:easily with his combo-of footwork and speed "best bigman to ever play!!!!

  • @TheYoyo great job! hakeem is the all time blocks leader. there is no possible way anyone should or could overlook hakeem. he is easily top 4 or 5 best centers ever. hakeem, jabbar, wilt and russel are top 4 centers in my book.

  • @TheYoyo hakeem was the best center ever in terms of versatility and overall ability..there really wasnt anything that he coudnt do i think ppl have the tendancy to program players into there head as the best ever! they just kind of hear it until they beleive it but if you watch hakeem play he leaves little doubt as to who the best ever was!

  • @TheYoyo And there is stupid people saying that Shaquillei was better than Olajuwon. How dumb they are.

  • exelente video me encata verlo the dream es el mejor centro de la historia

  • what music did this come from

  • This is an incredible video of arguably the greatest center of all-time (it's very close, esp between him and Kareem).

  • I call him the Nigerian Scammer for his ability to fool you on the court.

  • Dream is truly the guy who won a championship without a hall of famer on his side.

1993 - Vernon Maxwell, Kenny Smith, Otis Thorpe, Robert Horry.

    Case closed.

You ask Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Shaq, and Bill Walton who the best and most intimidating player they player they played against. DREAM!

  • 90's best players 1.Jordan 2. Dream 3.O'Neal 3.Pippen 4.Barkley 5.Malone 6.Robinson 7.Ewing 8.Rodman 9.Payton 10.Miller
  • @theuropean I def agree with the first three, dunno about the rest lol

  • Players today need to seriously learn from him.

  • Hakeem Olajuwon is argueably the best center of all time

  • who the hell disliked this

  • The dream shake on Shawn Bradley at 1:17 is beautiful. Hakeem has the best footwork of any big man to ever play the game. Better than Wilt, Kareem, Russell, Shaq, Robinson, Ewing, or Duncan. The NBA centers are so overrated now. Even the best big men in the league right now would have gotten chewed up and spit out in the early 90s.

  • Best center ever!

  • I wish there were still Centers that played like this. Such finesse and beauty, yet so much dominant in the paint.. I'm in awe. =[ He's mix of all centers, and a pg. Dream shake!

  • @asimniazi There wasn't one before or after.....so what you're getting is "typical now"

  • hakeem the dream....Best center ever son

  • @Deadshot089 All you got to say is top 10 of all time in blks and steals.........not one other player is matching that.

  • @JColeM7785 Yeah I know what you mean but theres alot of delusional idiot Tim Duncan fans who say Duncan is better than Olajuwon.

  • @Deadshot089 I think Olajuwon is better, but Duncan is/was a beast there's no denying that.

  • @Elmaln Oh yeah I agree, Tim Duncan is underrated. But he can't be compared to Olajuwon's body work and skills.

  • KAREEM, HAKEEM, SHAQUILLE the all-nba Muslim dominance baby!

  • @327372 YEs

  • epic career with epic music! good video! hakeem the dream, the forgotten legend

  • where did part two of the gary payton legacy go?

  • it`s real the best! I very like it

hakeem is the greatest center forever!

  • This is the only highlight I can watch all day

  • Easily the best video on the net. Props to whomever made this, and props to The Dream!

  • @ 2:35 I love how Dream rejects Kemp twice, and then Kendall Gill has the temerity to think he's going to go inside and dunk on Hakeem. Listen, if Shawn Kemp is getting rejected at the hole, mere mortal players have no business going anywhere near the paint.

  • That's just a conspiracy theory. I don't think it's actually true. But he did have gambling problems and his father was murdered (not necessarily through his gambling.) The "two year retirement" is actually the incident that ties this conspiracy together.

  • this movie pretty much defines hakeem. he shows love to players like patrick ewing and david robinson and then schools them during the game.

my favorite basketball player of all time. period.

  • Greatest center ever!! # 34

    ROCKETS!!!

  • him and moses malone the two most underrated centers to play the game. hakeem could dominate shaq anyday if both played in their prime.

  • Nothing past 94? Some of those 95 clips were epic in the playoffs!

  • Comment removed

  • Great video, gave me chills. What is the song? Good job!

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. And great music. As far as greatness is concerned, Hakeem is no doubt the Optimus Prime.

  • jordan wasn't just a jerk, he cheated on his wife, made little chinese kids create his air jordans, and had little class.

  • He supposedly had a gambling problem, resulting in the murder of his father and his "two year retirement."

  • Hakeem was a briliant player.

  • Best center to ever play

  • 2:34-2:40, pure DOMINATION

  • lol fuck jordan man I am so glad we took Hakeem over that arrogant jerk.

  • if MJ is #1 the The Dream is 1A, hakeem is by far the most forgotten and underrated player of all time, he was truly unstoppable

  • @prezdos Best statement on youtube!

  • @prezdos I couldn't agree more! He is always left out in the discussion with MJ, Bird, Magic, Kareem, etc...

  • shut up.

  • Best Hakeem mix i've seen! man not many 7 footers like this guy! he was so skilled and talented it was just eye popping

  • Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon! Amazing stuff and mix! Thanks!

  • yep the best center of all time nice video man
