I have xfx 8600gt xxx stock 620/800 OCed to 720/945. i use rivatuner and ati tool. ati tool to find the best stable clocks and riva to apply at start up. Also replaced stock fan with a zalman with ram sinks. I think you could take mem clocks higher. I cant wait to get this game it looks sick. im playing thru the first one again now.

actually there are not any dx10 exclusive titles. All games out can be on either dx9 or 10. I have a decent system and vista slowed it down. I had home premuim and a dx 10 card and alot of the time in dx10 the drivers crash. Realy takes the fun out of games. Im on xp pro now and not looking back.

well u just need more ram, cause vista uses like 1gb of ram onstart up ect. a bunch on anti viruses ect. and other programs that need random accsess memory (ram). get more ram = have more fun and no slow down ill post a vid about my comp later. showing

Not true, really.

I'm a fiddler at heart, so I tried to see how much RAM I could get vista to use and still be usable, I got it down to 300MB. No DWM, so the windows didn't look great (IE, they looked like XP, and had the nasty redraw trail thingies), but it was more than usable.

I put it back up to about 500MB, much nicer.

And of course, about 7 little apps like switcher, and so put me running at 500MB left, of my 2GB :P

yea but when u really think about it... like i said i would get more ram to enjoy windows vista. like u want to multi task and u only like 1gb ram. that is dedicated to windows vista (u can find this out by reinstalling and seeing how much phiscal memory u are using.) So u really wont have that much speed :P. but i do agree with u u can have low amount of ram but to run vista but if u like to multi task and have multiple programs open then get more ram.

You're thinking about vista like it's XP.

XP took it's corner of your resources, regardless of what your hardware was, and left the rest free.

Vista, on the other hand, takes what it needs, and then fills up the rest with loading often used stuff into RAM, and making your system faster. If something else needs it, vista quickly gives it to it.

But yes, to appreciate that, you need a lot of RAM, so it can actually do it's stuff.

in some ways, the easier modes are kinda fun, let's you get more cinematic shit without dying =P extreme still makes me twitch and get shot nerves more though. i can't wait till i can afford a decent computer... i beat the first two games in extreme but i can never max the settings due to 1gb ram and basic card XD
