  • I have this kit and being honest, out of the box it sounds crap. (my tuning skills don't do it any favours :P) but i've replaced the tom heads with remo pinstripes and snare head with a remo ambassador and also bought some evans E-rings. With all this it actually sounds like a decent mid range kit possibly even pro. Normally i wouldn't ugrade to something better but i'm guessing something of this price won't stand up to the beating it gets from gigs and constantly taking it apart.

  • i want a drum kit... (preferably one like that)

but myy mom won't get it me :@

  • are pearl travelers or forums any good?I want a good drumkit to start with,Im pretty intermediate at guitar, but ive wanted to drum for years.any good cheap tamas or ludwigs?anything good cheap period?

  • Actually scratch that. Brady Drum kits are ridiculous, they are out of this world. Orange Country drums very nice and Truth Customs also, but not their snares YUCK.

  • you need to spend at least £400 for a good kit.

    up to £500 - Starter

up to £800 - Mid range

    Around - £1000 - Pro kits.

Best drum kit make is probably pearl.

  • Hell no, pearl? look at DW.

  • @DrumminLover

Some times that is correct but not always. The Mapex VX sounded like a mid range kit now its been replaced by the VXB which supposedly has birch init but its awful. The Catalina Maple is £400+ and it doesnt sound as good as the one above.

Pearls sound awful. Mapex and Ludwid!

  • hes doing the same fill everytime

  • sounds terrible... maybe not in the video, they sound nice there but in reality they make you wanna cry.

  • ther really bad ive got one honestly for£200 to me thats too much for it you dont get alot out of it

they have a good shop though lol

  • Yeah, if only they stocked gretsch kits... im looking to replace my alesis Electric kit with a gretsch catalina maple/club mod with Sabian XS20 cymbals... they stock neither... damn them...

  • yeh i want the yamaha stage custom do you live in rotherham?

  • Nah, i'll probably end up getting all my stuff off ebay 2nd hand and replace the heads :P

  • they have sabian xs20

  • :P i thought they sounded good.

  • belive me he does not suck at drumming,,check him out in my vid,,dave the funk machine hockham,,,solid.,,,you rock davey.

  • its a gud shop but their own brand is rubbish

  • he sucks at drumming

  • xD You are an idiot.

  • thanks. they have sold out anyway, so i dont have to worry about that.

  • Does anyone have one of these kits that can back up that it sounds like this?

  • i do its shit

  • do they really sound like the video ?

  • no not at all ive only had em a year and i need a new kit allready

  • you cant buy this kit in black anymore! i was gona buy it but now you cant

  • please can you put a video of playing the 9 piece double bass drum kit, because i am seriously thinkong of buying one of these but it does seem too good to be true

  • same as me the cymbals seem a bit too good for the price... pastie 101 for £500 with a 9 piece kit... hmmm

  • the cymbals sound like but the drums sounds unbelievable good. n e one actually got one of these because im pretty sure its too good to be true (mainly cos it sounds like a birch kit and would probably be out selling pearl by now)

  • how can you say it sounds like shit if u haven't heard it in real life yourself

  • im savin up for the 9 piece at the moment, cant wait 2 get it, it will b so much better than my crappy 5 piece i got at the moment

  • The 9 piece double bass kit is soooo tempting..........

  • this is the raw sound of the kit: if you look closely there arent any close mics! The kit is £170

  • DUDE! i have a beginners set and my toms sound shit!

  • when they mic up drums they can put different effects on the sounds. in real life the drum set probably sounds like shit

  • well tune them then!

  • lol thats sounds as good as some of the really expensive Mapex drumkits!

  • how much was the drum set

  • thats an actually half decent cheap kit for like £30 at the moment
