With this piece of music I am in Mistras, a fantastic hillside treasure in the Pelopennese of Greece. It is a classical Byzantine site tucked a million miles from the real world. I have a tiny cassette player which is playing this cassette amongst the ancient pantile-roofed tiled churches and above me looms a Norman castle. There is nothing quite like music for taking you back to another age and time and encapsulating how it was back then. Thanks George.
