  • Great video! Thanks for the info. I have a garden tub right now that the builder installed. I think it's made of a manufactured marble material (but I can't say for certain). I love that it's easy to clean (actually rarely needs any cleaning at all) even though four of my kids (and I) bathe in it daily. Would either type of claw foot tub be as easy to keep clean? Does one type or the other tend to resist dirt or oil better?

  • Thanks! I will be restoring a beautiful antique claw foot and didn't know cast iron kept heat longer. That is exactly what I'll need in that drafty bathroom! I was thinking the exact opposite would happen and that it would sap the heat away, but love the look so much I was willing to accept it. Thanks for the information! Makes me happy since I like to soak and read a long time in one.

  • acrylic tubs scratch easy and don't look good after a short time.

  • I also would think anchored would be better. You're right, lighter than they look.

I like the look of these, but feet didn't look too good at least in the video.

  • always good and useful info. looking forward to the next video.

  • Do the feet get anchored to the floor? Otherwise it looks like it would move if you bumped into it.

  • Another great question I did see adjustable feet but did not notice anchoring points.I will look into that! Thanks+++Bob

  • Although the feet are adjustable there are no anchoring points ,other than floor drain, where the tub itself is anchored to floor VERY GOOD POINT! If this were to become an issue I am sure with a little creativity,a solution could be found.+++Bob

  • Please try a different camera angle. Unpleasant crotch shot. Good info though.

  • Sorry just relaxing, did not mean to offend, will tell videographer and tell her to watch for that in the future.+++Bob Was using favorite reading chair as prop.

  • I'm thinking dablox was joking lol

  • thanks bob for sharing this information... but I have one small comment that is kinda important..

try not to lift heavy objects with ur back.. like the way you lifted that tub.. it is kinda heavy and it could cause some damage to your back.. ask me about it..

    keep up the good work..

  • You are right of course! I will try to be more careful and lift with legs Thanks+++Bob

  • Cool. Thanks for sharing.
