I got to drive c70 convertible for the weekend. It was awesome, when I opened the roof it felt like sitting inside a transformer. People litterally stopped to watch it. I swear, C70 convertible will get you laid real quick!

Firstly it isnt constructed with good ol' Chrysler Crazy glue...secondly, if the Europeans built it...its gotta be good. eg: BMW eg:Audi eg: Mercedes Benz; eg: Rolls Royce; eg: Aston Martin. Irrespective of where their maunafcturing plants are located & which parent Co owns them..the lineage speaks volumes.
Seriously. You can tell who they copied in terms of their camera-work and presentation style. The only thing that really separates it is the different brand of goofiness delivered from Derek, and I rather dislike it compared to the TG guys.
Jeremy Clarkson is funny. That's it. He's not an unbelievably good driver (which he admits himself) And he doesn't know anything about cars. I cannot stand him.
VW is going to ruin porsche. honestly, i dont like the panamera, but i see no reason why it and the cayenne should be cut. i dislike them, but from a market standpoint they sell a LOT of those cars. what is VW thinking? their cars do NOT compete with porsches. the only cars that would compete are the cayenne and the tourag. porsche is going to make even less money if they cut those models, i.e about 60% less. use your damn head VW.
It does resemble it a little but I think that's because of the model car is it, like a coupe convertible. I love Volvo though, and I'd take the C70 over a shit Chrysler.
uh yes, they are in a different class. the CTS is in no way "small". its the same size as a BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Audi 6. you should probably research that before saying "not really".

It is ugly so is the Cayenne. But their sole purpose is to fund 911 projects. The Boxster can't do it alone and the Caymen should be removed from the line as well as the CC, Passat (maybe), Sirocco, Toureg, Q7 and A3. Let Porsche retune the V10 Diesel and make a limited number of Cayenne V10 diesels for farm equipment and see if it catches on.
Thank god porsche is gonna lose the Cayenne and Panamera, maybe theyll start making pretty cars again because the Cayenne and Panamera were pretty screwed up in terms of looks.

Do you really want a Porsche SUV or sedan, though? A lot of people were quick to cry blasphemy when the Cayenne rolled out, but they really needed it to stay afloat (it's by far the most popular Porsche).
Now that VW has bought Porsche, they can focus on their "core" cars (911, Cayman, Boxster, etc.)
on a random note, you guys should really look into that new Ferrari 458 Italia. looks pretty sweet, bet people would like to now more than what the ferrari site tells you.which isnt much.
The C70 almost seems like it's going backwards in design (except for the higher grille). The S60 was quite nice, however.

i'm very disappointed that porsche may discontinue the panamera and cayenne. yes, vw may have other suvs and large limos, but none are as technically focused as the porsche competitors. when was the last time you heard of a toaureg lapping the nurburgring, and handling better than most sedans while doing it. never.
The new Volvo looks like a more contoured version of the Lexus SC up front. CTS coupé looks hot, angular and, I could care less about the Panamera. The sales will be dismal, at best.

I'm a pretty big fan of Volvo cars, and I feel the convertible of any automaker's line should be the epitomy of flashy, sleek and sexy, and sadly... this is not. It looks like a refresh more than a redesign.
I like it, and it does look good don't get me wrong. I'm just a little sad that with BMW Audi & Mercedes coming out with jaw dropping designs, this will be volvo's next convertible for most likely the next 6 years.

So theoretically, you could re-tune the engine to perform like the F430 so you'll get the full speed of the F430, but the comfort of the Maserati. If I'm paying that much money for an Italian car, I'd want all the power possible from the engine; non of this de-tuned crap.

I'm a pretty big fan of Volvo cars, and I feel the convertible of any automaker's line should be the epitomy of flashy, sleek and sexy, and sadly... this is not. It looks like a refresh more than a redesign.

I like it, and it does look good don't get me wrong. I'm just a little sad that with BMW Audi & Mercedes coming out with jaw dropping designs, this will be volvo's next convertible for most likely the next 6 years.

the show is good and i do enjoy it but i wish you guys would cut out some of the stupidity. derick, sometimes you say stuff and it isnt funny or cool or interesting - just cut that shit out. i wish u guys would spend more time actually doing the news than trying to be witty with stupid things. just keep it brief and flowing please. after all, it is FAST lane daily right? well lately your show just keeps getting slower...and you deliver no more content than before amazingly.

So theoretically, you could re-tune the engine to perform like the F430 so you'll get the full speed of the F430, but the comfort of the Maserati. If I'm paying that much money for an Italian car, I'd want all the power possible from the engine; non of this de-tuned crap.

I saw a little of the Facebook video before seeing this. Beautiful Volvo C70! Looks awesome. I can understand the Porsche deal, but you want a little diversity to spice things up. Much like when Lamborghini made that ugly-ass (but not Aztek ugly) LM002. I'm rarely excited for Cadillacs. But this model looks... alright. Hi, Leo! :) Sad to see this Volvo deal fall apart, but not for the Mini SUV deal. To be honest, I'm starting to like the Maserati Granturismo. Sexy Italian muscle!

The front of the Volvo isn't much of a positive improvement, but the shocker are the body lines....Or the lack thereof!! This car has absolutely no personality, no sleek curves, lines, style, or personality. It looks kinda sawed-off too, like, too short. It looks like a crappier Pontiac G6...Volvo went backwards with this one. Volvo FTL.
