  • I like the way The Beastie Boys are now but it's so hard to listen to it after hearing this. This is definitely them at their finest.

  • @BebeGrl98 fuck you green day are fuckin fruit cake sell outs

  • @BebeGrl98 fuck you green day are fuckin fruit cake sell outs beastie boys would kick the shit out of green day musically any day

  • @BebeGrl98 No it isn't because Green Day and Beastie Boys (punk) aren't in the same category Green Day is POP-punk and The Beastie Boys (punk version) is HARDCORE punk

  • didnt they release another punk album in 96 or something

  • @BarrioPunkRock Aglio e Olio, yup.

  • @BarrioPunkRock Yes, I believe they released a whole bunch of punk albums under the name of Dead Fucking Last.

  • @BarrioPunkRock kinda I think your refering to ill communication with the song Sabotage...much cleaner sound withalternative/ punk roots.

  • So much better than anything after

  • This is the best beastie boy album, and they are considered one of the best hardcore bands of all time!!!

  • they sound like kids. the vocals remind me of the decendents

  • @gsdgsdgdhsadds They were kids, haha. And I don't really see the Descendents in this, but its up to how you interpret it I suppose!

  • @gsdgsdgdhsadds god the decendents I haven't heard that name in a while, how about "ALL". and I think they were 16 when they released this album, still love it. btw everything Beastie Fucking rocks. punk, funk, or rap they rock it in every way. not to mention they make us old geezers feel young again. !!!GIRLS!!!

  • @gsdgsdgdhsadds i can hear it in his voice too. not the way milo sings, but the sane voice.

  • The Vocals remind me of Darby Crash

  • @gsdgsdgdhsadds more like the germs

  • @gsdgsdgdhsadds they were kids

  • I remember browsing the music store looking for something good and I came across this CASSETTE. I was looking through the hardcore punk section (Prior to my wannabe b-boy phase I was a freestyle bmx hardcore punk kid) and I spotted this EP. All I saw was Beastie Boys and thought it was their next album after Licensed to Ill ( maybe 6 mos prior to the Paul's Boutique release). I was shocked as hell to hear this but still amped up to know that they were punk first.

  • Dude, Beastie Boys used to be hardcore punk???? and the used to be GOOD??????? WHAAAAAT? All this time, I had no idea! This blows my mind!

  • @jawallace1991 They're still good.

  • @NewWorldPictures i think jawallace meant good for a hardcore punk band but yeah they still rule even tho they rap :D

  • @NewWorldPictures I don't think so but he we all got a ass

  • @jawallace1991

Beastie boys, Really arent ANY genre lol. They just play what they want and let the fans decide. Their still O.K. but not hardcore.

  • @jawallace1991 I just found out too haha

  • @jawallace1991

they just found out that hardcore gets boring after 4-5 songs playd.

  • @jawallace1991 Yeah man they've always been good. And as a huge huge hardcore fan I admit that the Beasties only got better as they transcended their musical boundaries.

  • @jawallace1991 yeah man they say the chose there name because of their love for bad brains and wanted to have a BB name just like them

  • lol the entire album is shorter than a Tool song.

  • esta rola me hizo recordar al omar y al homies cuando eramos la tercia infernal homies haya donde te encuentres con toño!!!

  • Holy shit they've been around for a long time...fuck!

  • wonder where they woulda ended up if they stuck to this sound

  • @deepjew the beastie boys have never stuck to a sound

  • very musically talented group of kids. fucking awsome

  • Wow... I can hear so many hardcore bands in these songs! It is unreal.

  • hello,can i speak to cookie puss?

  • i discovered this when i went on a trip to mexico in 1990 of all places..my friend loaned me the original cassette which i never returned and its still in mexico...i played it for all the early skater kids that were there at the time and they were blown away...i let a friend borrow it when i went there a few years later and discovered it was being bootlegged like crazy...awesome!

  • Heard this KROC 1987, rodney on the roc,

  • Why do people comment on these videos with all their speculation about what is what. If you weren't there when it happened, you don't know shit about shit. Especially twenty eight years after the fact. Just listen to the music you pretentious dicks.

  • it's crossover yeah it sounds like DRI

  • Kool stuff thanks for uploading it.

  • what happened? They went from this to like rap...

  • aye aye good upload

  • It's been a while for sure, hahaha A friend of mine was the engineer on the session and loved it all. I know he said at the time that the Beasties would go on to some big things, he saw the talent then.

  • Kick ass hardcore band to kick ass hip hop group.

    Kick ass.

  • this is awesome as fuck, kinda soounds like the germs a little bit

  • First recorded blastbeat i this video around 5:45.

and done by the fuckin BEASTIE BOYS

  • This is somewhere in my Uncles record Crates, I've listened to it, haha, It would be funny as hell if they stayed hardcore.

  • who did the vocals for them during this? it kinda sounds like Mike D to me

  • @holyreality02 yeah its mike d

  • This early Beastie Boys material kind of reminds me of the Necros for some reason.

  • To say that they would've been one of the premiere hardcore punk bands of the eighties is just ridiculous. This record is cool, mainly for the fact that these punks went on to sell millions of hip hop records. The Beastie Boys could not have put out records that could stand up next to the Black Flag catalog or the Bad Brains ROIR sessions.

  • @RatsWar Very good point.

This is way off topic, but imagine how hilarious it would be if the Beasties remained hardcore and then became a crossover thrash band... I always thought that'd be pretty funny.

  • @NewWorldPictures that would be a copy of DRI

  • @sickassdrummer1 Haha true. But I guess a lot of bands followed in D.R.I.'s footsteps, which is no big deal because I'm still a pretty big fan of crossover. Then again, I guess I'm a fan of everything that doesn't completely suck haha.

  • @NewWorldPictures it's called selling out. you look at what the fads are and imitate them to the best of your ability to cash in. lots of bands have done this. i guess the difference is that some can sell out and still make great art, like the beastie boys. but some sell out and just crank out cheese.

  • EGG RAID ON MOJO! EGG RAID ON MOJO!

I saw these guys in 1994 at The Gorge in WA State and toward the end of their set they did about half the songs from Pollywog Stew, including Egg Raid. I couldn't believe my ears. They were smoking bowls on stage. Maybe that's why.

  • Someone told me that one of the Beastie Boys is Neil Diamond's son. I think it's probably bullshit, I don't know.

  • @jwallbanger ITS JUST A RUMOR -----> go to wikipedia and search mike d.

  • @RatsWar Black flag sucked after damaged and the bad brains only released two good albums (and they were pretty much the same shit)..but i guess opinions are like assholes..we all got em

  • @papercuta i think so too. i hate to say that about the flag, but it still remains true in my mind. same with bad brains.

  • @papercuta The first two Bad Brains albums are completely different from each other. You obviously haven't listened to them very much. S/t was the best hardcore ever recorded, and I Against I had a pretty unique sound that a bunch of bands in the early 90's were trying to copy (ie Token Entry, Doggystyle). Maybe you should try listening harder before pretending to be a music critic.

  • @battleackz no their first two albums were S/T and rock for light..you obviously dont know what you are talking about. yes bad brains are great no arguing that. maybe you should get your facts straight before you say anything. im not trying to be a critic either..just commenting on someone elses comment..again opinions asshole!

  • @battleackz also...token entry and doggystyle...doesnt help your argument..can someone say SUCK!!!

  • @RatsWar

I'm not quite sure you can measure art just like that. I mean; there are only two genres; there's good music and there's bad music. Beastie are bad. Ill, sick, forever and ever!

Wait, did I just get lost in that sick logic?

  • Whoa!! Thank You so much!! This is a Hard one to find!!! Got this on vinyl back in....Was it 1982?? Yhea...Think it was!! CU downloaded the Whole EP!! Thanx Mate!! 'Eres A Pint!! \~/ I salute You!!

    Rocknroll Reverend

  • @MrFlashBazbo No problem man! All about spreading the word of music. Salutes right back at ya!

  • Did these guys do the songs for the Super Mario World cartoon?

  • @ReloadPsi Haha I don't know, but now that you mention it...

  • I'm glad they stuck to rapping.

    B-Boys in full effect.

This music is GARBAGE, just ask m.c.a..

  • Well everyone has their opinions... unfortunately, your opinion sucks.

  • I should beat your fucking head in with a shoe your fucking pussy

  • What's the logic behind that?

  • @oldschoolhunter ask me, your a fucking moron thats what i think

  • Thanks for posting this. Awesome.

  • saw them in hawaii in 95? they played egg raid on mojo... great show.. turtle bay hilton

  • i am a fan pf their hip-hop music, butthisis hard as hell

  • Is this the same beastie boys that made intergalactic?

  • @KurdtKobain09 yup

sabotage, intergalactic, no sleep till brooklyn and, what do you know, egg raid on mojo

    ;)

  • hardcore is the music, not rap

  • both good

  • Decent Hardcore, but i prefer their rap stuff.

  • definitely a precursor to DFL!!!

  • beastie boys harcore show from 1995

    watch?v=P6kRS7ZhZic

  • Good stuff! Thanks!

  • Great EP. Most people are completely unaware that the beastie boys were once a kickass hardcore band

  • Daaaaaaamn! these guys r the shiT!!! they keep their punk and hip-hop old school!

  • You are fuck'n awsome..Thank you

  • Riot Fight - blast beat circa 1982...

  • anyway B-Boys never said that they r a pure punk band, and there r many better pnk bands but its still a great album.

  • i love "jimi" so much. 3rd song. ... ODs r coming u ll b dead.

  • this was the first real punk album that i got. before this i was listening to all this new west coast crap like pennywise, face to face. then i got my hands on this, and i was like "now this is punk!"

i got into real punk from this album and immediately sold all that new crap.

  • this is good, but pennywise and face to face are not crap, theyre awesome

  • thanx for uploading

  • no prob.

  • i got a copy of cookie puss somewhere but pollywog stew is so much better

  • @magich8ball where is somewhere?!

  • @aldotaka trololol in my house

  • thats fucking awesome!!!!

I didnt knew, that the baesty boys made such good music!!!

    PUNK ROCKS!!!

  • B-E-A-S-T-I-E! B-E-A-S-T-I-E!

  • is jimi a tribut (i know its misspelled) 2 jimi hendrix, i mean its nearly phsycodelic (again probably misspelled) and the song is spelled the same as his 1st name, or is it just a coicondice (3rd time, misspelling, im not a good speller)

  • F7 learn it, use it love it

  • if beastie boys were to continue making music like this they pobably would have been concidered one of the top hardcore bands of this time, not nearly enough people know about the beastie boys like this. amazing album, all the songs are fast, pissed, and somehow very catchy at the same time. simply brilliant

  • agree definetly when you think about their rhymes too its catchy sounds u cant understand much either i still love their instrumentals this old stuff is great tho

  • @hippiekiller9595 maybe would have been bigger but still wouldnt have been on the same level as bad brains, black flag, or minor threat. then again no one will ever know

  • damn....this takes me back to listening to this early in the mornings going to school...with a fatty doob and some asshole friends...ahhh the memories...

  • Vocals kinda remind me of Eric Cartman in places :P

  • this sounds like a combo of slowed down speed metal with the understand- ability of joey ramone... ITS AWSOME!!!!!!!

  • Nevermind they already did. Some old Bullshit :P

  • lol

  • Beastie boys should release a remastered version of this.

  • that would be smart too

  • i finally got a copy of this album at a garage sale yesterday for 2 bucks! I love this album. they do an excellent cover of "screamin at a wall" by minor threat. Great post mate 5 stars

  • haha thanks. its funny cause i downloaded this the other day and i'm like remebering all these songs from like the way distant past and my mom told me that i used to listen to this tape with her when I was 3 ahaha.

  • yeah i had a copy of the tape, but it finally died about a year ago...i played it too much
