  • i disagree with 2 things he did

    1. he used a very hot grill, use medium otherwise the inside will be raw

    2. never press them if you cook them, that leaves you with a dry burger, and i think most of us would preffer a nice juicy delicious burger, did i mention that when you press it the juices come out actually give great flavor to the patty?

The burgers were all different sizes and then at the end when he was taking them off the grill he made a HUGE bbq cardinal sin by pressing down on the burger and squeezing out the juices. Also, no so-called champion bbq chef would use charcoal lighter fluid, the best way to start charcoal is with a chimmny so you don't get any of the fluid flavor. Give me a break!

  • Too much onion... And too much seasoning. Burgers should be seasoned with just salt and pepper. That way, you taste the meat. I also like to chop a bit onions and green peppers and toss it in the patty, but just a little.

  • @maxbrand2000 Agree. This really is meatloaf - it has far too many other ingredients that disguise the flavor/greatness of the meat. I'm certain it will taste great - as a meatloaf. Best off to use this recipe with a cheap cut of beef that needs help. As a burger it is a failure.

  • No cheese, and you flipped it too many times. Maybe it's just me, those mechanical grills are confusing. I do direct heat to sear, then indirect w/a ton of cheese..but really, a ribeye burger HAS to be just the best!
