  • I have a problem with all the can food you used, because you can do the same using the mother nature products, yes it is only more time, not more difficcult.Exept the onions, garlic and meat, the rest is .........

Try is so simple, tomato sause, beans, hot pepers.

But it was a nice video a you look a very nice and warm person.

  • Perfect chili con carne, thank you! :)))

  • I made this, with slightly different ingredients: onion, red bell pepper, garlic, cumin, paprika, dried basil, chili powder, habanero sauce, canned chopped tomatoes, lean mince and canned kidney beans. It tasted good.

  • Wow, that stuff looks really good. I wanna try that at home, but have a little problem there.

My mother tounge isnt english so i dont really know what stuff you are using. I do of cause know what garlic tomatoes and onions are but i cant recognize any of the spices you used. Could u maybe write it down so i can look it up in a dictionary?

  • I have to say, as well as awesome cooking skills, you have a wonderful taste in music playing on your radio.

  • I love your video, i spent over 8 years now perfecting my chili. Im never quite happy with how it turns out, but oh well. Love how relaxed and casual you are infront of the camera. You rock :D

  • Just made it and eating now!

its so goood! thanks for the vid

  • Sir I have some questions !! I don't undestand so I need please that you repeat me the things that you use because I can't hear and I need that you write me please I love Chili and I want to learn to make it please!!

  • im going to make some now....

  • brilliant! I do my chilli like that too, + u make so much sence!!!

  • hey, i tried your recipe yesterday and it was great.. I love it. btw, the last song (Hey Jude) is my favorite beatles song. :)

  • that must be the commercial way cuzz the real way includes chile peppers tomatoes green tomatoes if u like them and bout 75% of it is just made up this guy is a joke dont listen wow google mexican chile con carne no whierchester sauce in mexican food

  • This person is absolutely right. This is a very easy version for the non cook but I suggest everyone try some of the more authentic versions if they are comfortable cooking.

  • @menostyle

still he did a great job!

  • I want some!!!!!!!!!!! : (

  • Make some!

  • I just wanted to comment that this looks like a decent southern chili, but it is not "Chili Con Carne". As the name suggests chili con carne is a Mexican dish made from beef tips and dried chili pods. This chili is similar to the chili cooked in the Texas Chili Cookoffs, which being from west Texas, I grew up eating, it is a great chili.....just not "Chili Con Carne"

  • actually this is chili con carne

chili con carne translates into chili with meat, so any dish that has any type of meat and chili in it can be called chile con carne.

  • I'm headed out to get all the ingredients right now! Although, my girlfriend is a vegetarian, so I'll be using morning star fake meat crumbles. Close texture to ground beef, just a bit less salty. Your video was a big help and I enjoyed it very much! Thank you!

  • How'd it turn out?

  • Great vid, it's cool to see a different take on a classic dish.

  • this video is making me hundry xD

  • Well, you better start cooking then.

  • this looks good!

my dad puts red green and yellow peppers,

    and cumen and chili powder.

    its so good

  • That sounds great! Thanks for sending the suggestion.

  • That looked awesome! Would love to have been there to share it :-) Thanks for posting this, some great tips in there.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting

  • I've understood that there are:

    1 can of tomatoes sauce

1 small can of tomatoes paste

    1 can of beans

1 can of ? what is there in the first can you put into your chili?

    Thank you! ;-) ;-)

  • Can of diced tomatoes Hope that helps ;-)

  • kidney beans

  • What do the cans contain? Bean, tomatoes and what else? And what type of sauce did you use? worcestershire sauce?

I'm not english speaker and I found a bit difficult to understand everything.. thanks for your reply.

  • wooshoostrrr sauce, haha! that's how i say it too! hehe gonna make me some chilis tomorrow.. thanks!

  • Anything that gets people cooking!

  • Joder ¿pero es que no lo va aexplicar nadie de México?

Es como ver a un Akeman tratando de Explicar como se hace la paella... Estas cosas deben explicarlas los que saben.

  • Awesome video! I attempted this recipe and it came out great! The overall taste was a tad acidic however; I heard that adding one square of dark brown chocolate or a few tablespoons of brown sugar can help neutralize the overally acidic taste of the tomatoes (and avoid heartburn) :) But overall, awesome! Thank You!

  • Sounds great! Thanks for the suggestion.

  • What is the name of the first song in this movie? Angie or Angel? ....

  • I think it is Angie

  • Looks good, but down south we don't use Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste nor basil. And we use a lot of jalapeno and harbanero. But all in all looks good. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for the recommendations, I'll try them

  • you legend!

red wine is a very vital ingredient when cooking!

im going to make the chilli with nachos, going to be awesome!

    cheers mate

  • You're making me hungry!

  • what spice is that in 3:25?

  • ok, i found it... basil = basilikum in german :D

  • Here's a tip. If you want to make authentic chili, make it spicy, meatier, and omit the beans. That is how REAL chili is made, and that is how it is made in Texas, where chili came from. And no it did not come from Mexico.

  • My favourite chili recipe is made with cubed beef and is more like you describe. This is an easy recipe for the non cook and is Chili Con Carne which does have beens. Thanks for the comment!

  • No problem. And here's another tip. Chili tastes really good topped with shredded cheese.

  • That type of Chili we call Texas Chili in my area, but sometimes people here think that Texas Chili and Chili con Carne are the same thing.

  • Great, I'd love to hear how it turns out.

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • Is that 'Angie' in the backgound? Haven't heard that in a long time.

  • I guess so, we were just listening to random music.

  • Great but wouldnt advise pouring fat down the sink coz over time could clog the pipes

  • wikid video man! I will try this next time i make chili :)

  • Thanks! This was our first video attempt. Hopefully, we have improved a tad.

  • All i want to say is

    THANK YOU

  • Har! You're very welcome

  • I love chili con carne! I put baked beans in mine, it may sound unusual but its lovely! Great video by the way!

  • I made chili with baked beans when I was in the navy. The guys loved it but I have to admit it didn't suit my tastes. Thanks for the suggestion and comment!

  • it is great, i bet it taste awesome!!!, do you think i can put this chili on the top of a hot dog? you see there's going to be a hot dog fair in my school, and im looking for something that improoves the simple ones, i live in mexico and it is rare to eat chili here. So what do you recomend for me to do?, thank you.

  • MMM, chili goes great on a hot dog but I would use twice the beef to make it thicker.

  • i have a question i don't like diced tomatoes in my chili so is there any substitute or can i just not put it in the chili ..anyways looks amazing can't wait to try it

  • Hmm, if it is just the chunks of tomatoes you don't like, puree them in a blender first. I guess you could replace them with more kidney beans but it would taste quite different.

  • nice video

    thanks man!!

  • Thanks to you!

  • thnx for the recipe

i tried it without the chunks b4 u even replied i just put more tamatoe sause in it and it tasted amazing .i loved it<3

  • top job but ave you ever tryed puting the zest of a whole orange and half of its juice in and 4 to 5 blocks of dark chocolate in your chilli......i didn't think it would work either, but boy it works

  • Peter frampton FTW!

  • ill tell u something man, WHAT A GREAT GREAT PRESENTATION,ITS YOUR PRESENTATION THAT GOT ME HOOKED ON THIS VIDEO, YOU ARE A STAR!

The wine move was cheesy, but great great start :)))) keep up the great work!!!

  • OMG! I'm blushing!

Thanks for your kind words. As for the wine move being cheesy, I love cheese!

  • This is great, I've don't usually cook but I love chilli and I'm gonna use this recipe tonight!

  • Great! I'd love to hear how it turns out.

  • Turned out great! I was nervous about cooking before but it seems so simple now I feel silly. Two of my housemates tried it and thanks to your instruction not only did I not kill them, they really liked it! I didn't have any worcestershire sauce or basil though and think they would've helped balance the tomato flavour. Next Time! Cheers!

  • Great to hear! If you want to really wow them with something very easy, try the Lasagne or Pork Roast with apple gravy. They will want you to do all the cooking (which is ok if they pay for the food).

  • can't wait to make it,i going to the store

  • Great! Let me know how it turns out!

  • I like your stomach it must be full of chili con carne :D

  • Maybe 1 day we can make chili con carne together i want you to be my granpa. :D

  • I made a lot of happy people with you Chili, thank you very much. I like it very thick so I cook it 60 minutes.

  • Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'm glad you got to make it the way you like it. I will try cooking it longer some time.

  • im going to make your chilli,i hope it's turns out great..thank u for the video

  • thanks for this video, i was able to follow it and make a great tasting chili con carne! at last, self-made food that i actually love!

keep it up, looking forward to more "lazy" (my kind of cooking) recipes!

  • Man ... that looks delicious ... i have never eaten chili before. NEVER! But now i`m gonna make my own :D Thx for the video. I wanna ask just one thing. The timing on each step (how much to make the meat brown, how much to leave it boiling after adding the tomato cans ... and so on). Nice video. And have a happy new year.

  • Thanks for the kind words. It is hard to give exact times because it depends on how hot your pan is to brown the meat. Just do it until it is the colour on the video. Heat the chili until it is hot and your done!

  • Thank you :)

  • i usually put the beans when i put the tomatoes then use them like an indicator(it's ready when they split, like a soupe au pois;))

  • Thanks for the suggestion?

  • lol, no, more of a statement:)

  • I really enjoyed watching you make this recipe - you're very entertaining as well as being thorough.

I would love to see a video of your favourite wines:)

  • Thsnks for the kind words. As for my favourite wines, that would take too long!

  • Awesome, plain awesome.

You guys are good at what you good. More recipes please.

  • Thanks for the kind words. We have been busy but your comment does inspire me.

  • I made it!

Tasted awesome. I burnt the onions a little at the start and over defrosted the beef in the microwave, but it still tasted awesome. Theres some in the fridge which I'm going to eat tomorrow morning too.

    Really is a good recipe.

  • umm wat is chili con carne is it just regular chil er wat???

  • this is very basic regular chili

  • You have to put cumin in it!!!!

  • Where's the cumin?

  • I'm definitely going to try this! :)

  • I hope you enjoy it!

  • He looks like he eats alot of beans.

  • nice 1 enjoyed watching the video any other recipes? like a nice spag bott? instead of chilli powder y not try some REAL chillis
