An excellent singer but I dont like the timbre of his voice seems to be too nasal and thin. Prefer to hear pavarotti singing this. Just my opinion ofcourse.
He is closing in on 40 dude. He is in the sweet spot right now and it will not change too much from now on... especially because he is not ruining his voice by singing roles not suited for a leggiero. Don't for look for him to become some dramatic... because it won't happen.
Yes, this is a real delight for him and the audience. Like Champagne (it is the season for that !) and at the end of concert. He definitely knows this aria perfectly since he has sung it many times. However this is an opportunity to listen to the italian version although the final word here sounds more like French (Militaire) than Italian (Militare)But who cares?

Pardon my ignorance but the this aria sounds a lot better when sung in Italian. It just sparkles.

And Pavarotti too
Pavarotti is the first ever tenor did it,you should remember
And pavarotti's high Cs is stronger than this verison really without questions

I think he is the best bel canto tenor of our time and is more than a talent: he is Juan Diego Florez!
I saw him twice - in Germany, and it was
fantastic! Next time in 2010...

as soon he gets older, his voice will get darkened and that's too good for a tenor
