@xyira777 Actually must Airbus planes take off look "late" cause they dont use full power for take off if it is not needed, they only use the power that they need for that particular flight with the "Assumed Temperature" so they can protect their engines.
@ebksb123 Oh yeah of course but they call it in other way and airplanes like the 737 doesnt have so an accurate way to reduce thust, if you have for example a CFM56-7B24 Engine you can only select 20K or 22K for De-rate purposes. Have a nice day!
Do you guys really think they are supposed to leave the ground with miles of runway unused ? Once an aircraft reaches V1 it's usually commited to taking off..there is rarely enough room to safely stop once you get that fast..that's why the computers suppress any warnings except fire from T/O power set until several minutes after leaving the ground to stop the crew trying to make a stop when it is far safer to fly the aircraft.. This looked like a stress free take off to me.
So what is the dangerous part? By the way, rain does not make you loose some lift. Mcalcri refrain from comments, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about
Always when there is rain, you need to rise your speeds, because the rain drops makes you to lose some lift, because that, you will need more runway to reach the correct speed. Thats all, its more secure doing this than normal speeds in take off with rain.
This big boy looked and sounded as if it had enough runway and power to climb safely. Good vid and great capture of that beast screaming out of Miami.
Get the facts straight ! in the 21st century is nothing scary,or cool ,or noisey,or dubious, when it comes to Airliners operating in or out of europe its well and truly over every think is regulated by brussels as soon as an airline has a little hick up it gets banned . you want to see scary stuff, noises, head of to Teheran Mehrabad or Kinshasa Ndjili get a ride on SAHA B 707 OR HEWA BORA 727-100
Lufthansa is the best !! they don`t do scary stuff sorry .I did flew spantax manyt times there where a bit scary but cool.A380 ths not scary but uncool
I've seen a bunch of close up takeoffs at JFK and the A340-600 & the A380 are pretty quiet compared to the 747-400 and A330. What a beast of an airplane though!
@robejpa Nothing I would call 'dangerous' but a fully laden huge aircraft like that, on a very wet runway, always brings new risks into the equation. Most people have no idea how much drag a soaked runway adds to the takeoff, meaning the engines work harder, especially on a runway that isnt extremely long. Think about how a car aqua planes at even just 60km/h on a very wet surface, then imagine a 600+ tonne aircraft doing over 250km/h would be like on a runway ;)
The Lockheed C-5A also has a distinctive whine with it's engines which really set it apart from other aircraft which first went into the AirFforce inventory in 1969
there is no danger it a perfect take off !! why people insinuate that company video titel like : "Late take off", "Danger take off" it is a great plane and a god company.
@flynabilx You can see the gap between the wing and the flaps so the flaps were extended. You can also see the gap where the flap moved (fowlered) back.

That isn't a pretty steep climb. Presumably the aircraft is quite heavy? Or weather conditions were quite bad?
