Every time I hear this song live it sounds a little different, which is what makes PG so interesting. I whacked the volume right up and enjoyed it like it was the first time I ever heard it.
I also think 4:32 to the end is - every time - one of the most powerful moments in rock music I've ever experienced. Especially the way the wind blows his hair in this version, at 4:57, as if he's standing alone on a cliff top. It's the little touches!
The drum beat is a little "hasty"...all in all the performance is too staccato for my taste...

great song- horrible performance. off key, off beat and peter'svoice sounds like he needs some water and a riccola throat drop.

I was there at open air Baseball stadium in December 1986.
It was so cold that day.
However during Peters perfomance, I was so excited and totally lost myself.
I can still recall whole thing happened on that day!
Peter was really extraordinary.
