This should be required viewing for anyone in the vocal arts. Magnificent, as always, Olivero is truly "l'umile ancella del genio creator." She is equally moving, with a fil di voce at age 99, in a clip of "Paolo, datemi pace" fron Zandonai's Francesa Da Rimini elsewhere on YouTube. She will be 100 years old in March of this year. Grazie tante per questo tesoro della lirica.
There is the DVD of this film where this clip is taken from. Then there's the color film "Lucia di Lammermoor" with Anna Moffo where Fioravanti plays Enrico. Some audio recordings also exist.
This is so beautiful! I thought no one could surpass Ruggero Raimondi and Caterina Malfitano, but now I'm in doubt.. Thanks for sharing!

Wow. A surprisingly atmospheric, noir-ish take on 'Tosca'. Well done.

I love Fioravanti as Scarpia, his voice is so... unique. I don't know, does anyone know where I can find a recording with him?
