went yesterday at the Brisbane auditions, very entertaining. Feel sorry for those who missed going, you missed a real treat, so much behind the camera and stage work going on, real interesting. Scored a high up seat which let me look where the sound guy was too. Must say, agreed totally with the judges except for about 2, where I liked the sound of them. But bootcamp will certainly sort out who can take the pressure

Xfactor or You've Got Talent, Idol - fine by me. They're much the same as the competitions for dancing, singing, tap, piano/musicians. Opera Singers have their special competitions for grants, ballet dancers keep going to competitions until they might be lucky enough to get a medal in Russia perhaps, which practically guarantees them a place in a company. Only ordinary musicians are 'too cool' for all that, they'd rather wait in a pub to be discovered
