Do not come here.. The public schools along with the public transportation system is a joke.

@drippingsoul13 This is the 21st century. We do have private transportation (cars, bikes, segways, etc.) and Charleston has excellent private schools. There are several boarding schools that Northeasterner's send their kids to in the area.

I lived in Charleston South Carolina for 16 years... If you love the lack of technology, resources, and jobs, this is the place for you. Now I will say the colleges are pretty decent but this place sucks for young people. Everything (bar, lounges) closes at 1:45am... If your'e retired and want a nice slow life on the coast, then this is it, but if your'e young and not here for college, DONT DO IT!!!

I use to live in Charleston SC back in the 80's and during the 90's I came back to visit Charleston. I like Charleston A lot more then New Orleans. I was at Charleston last week and going to the beach.
