  • thanks to jack i will always looking up

  • Jack deserves a star on the walk of fame in Hollywood doesn't he? He has my vote. I loved his show and it's sad to see he's gone. R.I.P.

  • I didn't know that he had died. He was awesome. Did you realize that the theme music was Debussy?

  • It said in Mr. Horkheimer's obituary that professional astronomers did not take Jack seriously. Back in the 1960's, the CBS network turned down "Star Trek" because they said they had a space show of their own (Lost In Space)! In the comment above, Asteroid 1999 FD9 has been renamed 11409 Horkheimer. So, Jack Horkheimer has made it to the stars ahead of all those judgmental professional astronomers!!! Jack, you are now truly made of stardust!!! R.I.P.!!!! @_@ Keep looking up!

  • Thank You Jack so so so much, God blessed us with your kindness and teachings thank you, we will miss you.

  • Stars are not named for people, but asteroids ARE!

Asteroid 1999 FD9 is a main-belt asteroid discovered March 19, 1999 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa.

It has been renamed 11409 Horkheimer in honor of Jack Horkheimer, Star Hustler. This is an OFFICIALLY SANCTIONED astronomical nomenclature, unlike the companies that offer to name a star (recognized only by the company that sells that service)

  • I will always keep looking, Jack Horkheimer

  • We should name a star after him...

    HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!!!

  • *cry* I miss you Jack. Thank you for getting me to "Keep Looking Up!" :)

  • RIP Mr Horkheimer, thanks for your contribution in astronomy and a better understanding of the universe. This doesn't only require knowledge but feeling also, your show provided both, Keep looking up!

  • Jack Horkheimer is the one that first got me into the stars and the 9 planets as a kid with star hustler I would watch him every night at midnight on wqed 13 just before they would sign off I learned alot from him his instructions were so easy to follow I was verry verry sad to find out he is no longer with us he was a great astronomer and will be missed RIP Jack Horkheimer and I will always KEEP LOOKING UP
