  • No more drunk coxing!

  • FENTON STOP ROWING JESUS CHRIST

  • reminds me of my cox

" Alright, now arms only warmup for stern 6, bow 3 foward,... ROW"

  • IGNATIOUS STOP ROWING!!

  • going to where that race is tomorrow. Hope for no more repeats!

  • when was this taken?

  • This is why everyone hates coxswains.

  • weigh enough.... weigh 'nuff.... was that cox blind? drunk? dead?

  • why didn´t they listen to hitler?

  • @away363 he was probably concentrating on other things such as keeping the boat level, also its rather hard to hear to people outside the boat when rowing

  • @Muzza577 Regardless, it's their home turf sort of thing. They should know those waters back to front.

  • why isn't anyone listening to little hitler?

  • The most famous rowing video on youtube...:)

  • hahah 0:24

  • this is why women shouldnt cox...

  • ouch...

  • the guy in the launch just sits there and watches it happen. He should have been busy warning them, such as saying something like "Ignatius, stop rowing" eight times at the top of his voice.

  • Which crew is this?

  • Geez! the guy telling them to stop rowing couldn't get any louder!

  • somebody should have told them to stop rowing

  • woman cox

  • @TheBurgooKing

Yes everyone at Iggies is a girl!

  • @kookyuke haha iggies

  • At least it just hit the oars, not the boat...

  • if ya win its the rowers if ya lose its the coxswain...

  • wow cox ever heard of telling your bow pair to square and hold.

  • @nitro300 Or all eight.

  • @nitro300 bow pair holding the boat wouldnt have stop it on time and anyway you dont know the whole story so shut up !

  • @natho9512 like I need to know the whole story the bow pair could of squared and hold or like raptor said the whole 8 so watch who tell shut up too.

  • Comment removed

  • @nitro300 well maybe if you look at the cox you would notice that he didnt look out the side of the boat where the pole was so how the fuck could he see it !!

  • @natho9512

He should have known that there was a pole there and yachts parked and that he has to go wide in that corner...I have no idea were that is so i cant comment on what that place is normally like, but if he listened in the cox's meeting, Im sure he would have been told about that.

The coxs primary job is to know about the course and be able to steer it. His secondary job is to motivate the crew. Hes a twat if he cant even do his main role...

  • YIMS

  • The 6 seat got railed...

    what crew was this, 1sts/2nds?

  • @bloodgod40

some schools arent rich enough to do that dumbcunt and anyway thats what bow coxswains are for

  • @joshayboy97 ditto

  • unbelievable!

  • how did that cox not see the pole!

  • @disneychannelbee1234 You can't see things directly in front of you when you are coxing an 8 because of the large people in front of you and you are lower in the boat.

  • @Timahhh you see i don't cox i row.. so i guess i don't know sorry if i like judged people :)

  • Why don't they put a video camera at the front and give the cox a screen so he can see where he's going. It's not rocket surgery.

  • why does the cox look so calm??

  • Dumbest fucking Cox on the planet!!!!

  • 5 people like raming pole.

  • i've been in a boat where the cox did that. nearly took me out. believe me, its mostly definitely the cox's fault for being a retard.

  • Ever sat in the back of and 8+? Your blind spot is dead in front of you. To check that blind spot the cox needs to lean out of the boat, throwing the boat off balance and slowing it down( rowers HATE this) . While there is no doubt that the cox in this clip is responsible for the accident, it's a really understandable accident.

  • @NAXE5 I would agree, but that's a pretty tall obstacle to pass off as 'in the blind spot'...and coxswains should know their course.

  • I would kick that steering dude. What a knobhead. That pole is 20ft long...

  • imma cox and i agree... everything comes down to the cox... this dude was fucking retarded and needs a fucking eye test...

  • funniest shit ever so lucky that got caught on tape

  • i cox, and i'm not this bad.... hahahaha, HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THE POLE?? :p

  • made my life :)

  • LOL at 0.25 -- "Ooowww!"

  • In Soviet Russia people don't suck at listening to good reason!

  • I LIKE HOW THE GUY IN THE LAUNCH HAS A HEAVY BRITISH ACCENT

  • The reason why they don't stop listening is because Race Officials spout bullshit half the time. They're relying on their cox to make the call.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL i broke an oar too, and the keel of one of our boats.......... :D howd the guy fall out? isnt that impossible?

  • @louishuyen it's called an ejecting crab. I've seen it happen a few times. It's gotta kill haha

  • ok im a high school cox for about 4 years with 9 seasons under my belt wat the fuck was this kidd thinking wat was is course and how come he didn't see tht giant pole its great to know tht we have dumb coxswains coxing the river

  • youtube.com/watch?v=9RLXxgcG_gA

  • No wonder Riverview are full of retards

  • lol that sucks

  • There goes our freaking money, for repairing those oars XD

  • Its st ignatius sydney, australia. I go there, id know and i was at the regatta

  • st. Ignatius in cleveland?

  • LOL will raven u shit cox, lol we gave him shit about this for sooo long

  • those port rowers are in some pain... even hittin a little buoy hurts

  • to be fair, the crew looks like it was taking some excellent strokes. Whenever I cox, if the boat looks and feels that good, other things (poles, sunken logs, sea monsters....) can just get tuned out by the magic.

  • SHIIIIIT

  • this is why officials use flags..

although Weighnuff would of worked better than stop rowing. We're just trained to ignore some words and pick up on others.

  • small coxswain.. hahaha can't see the pole.. :D

  • That coxswain is a total fail, but its pretty funny.

  • Its funny because he calls "10 hard"

  • failcox pull the wire

  • Gobshite!

  • That's a scary situation when your coxin doesn't care if you are going to crash in to a pole!!!!! You are suppose to trust your coxin with your life. I am praying I never have this coxin.

  • how the fuck can u not hear him i am a cox and can hear them easy when i am in a race

  • how in the world didn't the cox see like a 20 foot pole right in front of them. LMAO

  • It's possible that if the cox was small enough, the stroke tall enough, and the approach to the pole direct enough, that the cox literally couldn't see the pole behind the rowers... and yeah lolgirl419 I always tuned out the anouncers too.

  • its all because the rowers were WOMEN!!!!!.

  • DandN1000 its st ignatius riverview in sydney

    u were not there

  • you were stroking cox in your mouth

  • its St. Ignatius Chicago at the midwest regional rowing competition in the US. not an australian crew. my friend was at this regatta

  • @DandN1000 LOL its definitely St. Ignatius from Sydney, Australia. I am good friends with the kid who got ejected :)

  • watching this video always makes me feel better about myself.

  • I....am...in shock...WHAT KIND OF IDIOT COXSWAIN JUST DOES THAT!!!!!!!!

  • yeah, it's iggies in sydney. you'd expect nothing less from them.. haha

  • classic ignatius

  • It actually is tough to see from the coxie seat. They are shorter than the rowers, sitting lower, and leaning out of the boat throws off the set. It is much harder than it looks to see something thin and random like that coming while focusing on racing.

  • Lol I love the guy at the end going 'Oh my god' :)

  • Hahaha this is saint ignatius in Adelaide I went there

  • i go to st ignatius adealide and they didnt start rowing until 2007 its st ignatius in sydney

  • wat the fuk

  • Comment removed

  • not ignatius in cleveland, we don't have white shells or white oars

  • Worse than Sydney High XD

  • typical

  • ahh this guy suffered two broken ribs that fell out have mercy

    but hahha fail

  • bet the majority of these comments on this video arn't even from rowers. Or experienced ones at that. When in a race you rely completely on the cox, and tend to blank everything else out and concentrate on winning. At least the bow man didn't get catapulted out the boat

  • @chazz00999 bow man's on the opposite side of the boat.

  • What part of STOP ROWING this fag's don't understand!

  • hey if you were running/rowing a race and some guy started yelling at you to stop, would you do it?

  • is that st. ignatius high school cleveland????????/

  • @Smackimation no, sydney

  • its Saint Ignatius in australia

  • @Smackimation no its in aus

  • Too funny.

  • omg xD

  • !!!!EPIC FAIL!!!!

  • I was there wat happened was that sometimes what happens is the officials tell u to stop coz it might be some minor thing and the Coach of this time told them to ignore any objections because they could lose their spot in the race

  • I'm from high, and this has made my day

  • hahhahahahahaahahah xD

  • My coach showed us this video and she said that the coxswain apparently misheard the "STOP ROWING" and thought it was some sort of war cry

  • This made my day. "STOP ROWING!!! oh my god..."

  • Haha. Thanks for this, wreck2.

  • Coaches and officails outrank a cox in my club, cox says row, coach says wheynuff, we don't row.

  • @DBCarmody: Americans aren't stupid or self-centered. Seriously, where in the description or in the video does it say "filmed in Sydney, Australia"? If I posted a video of Vermont for example, would I call you a stupid Australian for mistaking its location? Nope. Because it wasn't mentioned anywhere. So don't go off offending entire countries or races just because they aren't sure where it was filmed. So if I do post real videos, I will include location.

  • @TheArticBird The aussie accent kinda gave it away....

  • i woulda punched the cox right in the mouth if i was stroking

  • Epic fail

  • Too funny. Nice going cox.

  • ahaha oh my god i heard about this from my coach like last year...

    oh iggy...

  • Just so everyone knows the guy that fell out was ejeted. The impact forced the oar into him so hard that it pushed him out of the boat

  • Oh god, that cox is an idiot! Can you not hear 'CHECK YOUR POINT!!! STOP ROWING!!!' ???

  • silly coxswain...

Honestly, what an r-tard. When they say 'stop rowing,' huh, I wonder if that means they should STOP ROWING?!?!?!

  • really makes me wonder this one

    always listen to the umps!

    sure is hilarious though!

  • thats not completely the coxes fault the rowers should have stopped. i row there everyday it is bent from those stupid idiots

    seriosly

    LOL

  • thats the coxwains fault you have to listen to your coxwain and often the umpires are exaggreating things so how do how do you know what to beleive. The coxwain is a fucking idiot

  • No, everything is the coxswain's fault, whether it really is or not. LOL :P

The thing is, the rowers are NEVER supposed to do ANYTHING without specific direction from a coxswain. So if a coxswain is leading us down a path of failure and destruction, we must do what they say. Because they are our coxswain. That's the way it works in MY rowing club, anyway.

And I doubt the rowers are even listening to the announcer. I personally think they're annoying as crap and try to tune them out lol :P

  • @lologirl419 so true :)

  • Yo roseville how is it the ROWERS' fault? If you actually did row you'd realize that you can't SEE behind you and you completely rely on the coxwain to tell you what to do at all times. What a freaking poser.

    Coxwain's fault 100%.

  • @rosevillerower If you row competition, you should know how everything around you dissapears, and it should. That includes large poles, spectators, small ducklings, swimmers and ufo's. NEVER listen to anyone else than the cox, when you're in a + kind of boat. That can cause just as dangerous situation. Coxvains fault.

  • @ABOlsen69666 its the strokes job to tell the coxwain if the ref's flag is up and the cox hasnt noticed. plus not entirely the cox's fault on that day. to be fair, all those boats on the left of the 8 arent normally there, and the cox thought that the yachts were to the right of the pole

  • he definetely saw d pole cos at d start of d vid he was steering rite 4 it

how d ur man fall out

  • @chipmany the handle of the blade hit him in the chest and forced him out of the seat... bad times!

  • Is the cox still alive ? what a prick, that's the only thing he has to do on a river, watching around !

  • x dios q manga de pajeritos en especial el timonel no saben q no se pueden poner mogolicos a timonear¿?

  • is this the st. ignatious in cleveland?

  • yes

  • sure god love his tiny willy

  • how the hell that guy in the front went to take a bath?

  • funniest thing ever :)

  • LMFAO!!. which st.Ignatius is this?? there's a bunch of schools with that name

  • cleveland. i think.

  • its not in cleveland its in sydney australia- i was there when this happened

  • fail. lmfao

  • go newington

  • totally the coxs fault what an idiot

  • "oh my god"

  • This is probably the most embarrassing thing that has happened to our school. After that incident, ALL of the crews were "lightly" told the consequences if they ever did that again.

  • Comment removed

  • DE SE XALASE!!!

  • well the man is yelling "STOP ROWING IGNATIUS!"

  • glad that im not that coxswain

  • how the hell did the cox not see that? i hope they were kicked off, seriously, f'cking dumbass

  • who i am so happy we dont race there steering is my hardest part but i am actually pretty good at it but i can still improve

  • If you look you can see that stroke seat doesn't nod his head to one side to signal to the coxswain that he needs to turn the boat.

  • why would stroke seat need to do this it is completely the coxes fault. my cox is the same way he goes on a power trip and wont listen to anyone. RETARD

  • Wow dude i didn't say it was stroke's fault, i was just saying that he didn't nod his head. Yes, it is the coxswain's fault. You don't have to be a total dick about it.

  • listen to "heeelllpp"

    bahaha funniest part

  • FUCKEN FUNNIEST SHIT MAN!!!

  • yer iggies.....

    Up NEw

  • Y wasn't the cox watching where they were going?!

  • omg. this was my coaches' crew when they were in yr 12 doing gold cup. i'm surprised they didnt kill their cox.

  • are you serious that they are from iggies? THAT IS HILARIOUS

  • Hahaha There coxswain's an idiot!

  • hahahah but gold cup is a confusing race course

  • oath its a confusing course, we raced it yesterday and our bloody cox thaught another pole was the 1 to turn at so he ran into grammer... then we got disqualified haha
