from my personal experience, i think Nikon make better cameras and Cannon make better SLR's but i wont dismiss Sony as well. They all make really good cameras and at the end the difference now days is very very minor. The one i'm using at the moment is Nikon coolpix s60 and its awesome

Got this camera as an early Xmas gift and was not impressed at all. The picture quality is okay but I have an 8mp Canon that takes better pics. The video quality on this cam is HORRIBLE. It is very grainy and if you zoom while doing a video it jumps with each zoom. I am not impressed and will be returning this and sticking with Canon.

ok so the difference between s600 and s700 is that the s700 has 12.1MP and 3x optical zoom. and s600 has 10MP and 4xoptical zoom. Is this the only difference or is the video also different?

Yeah thats it i like the s600 better because its zooms in great. i was almost going to get a s550 but it had a small

screen and compared to the s600 id say this is the best yet
