I used this guide a year ago to do this to a 4.0u. I'm now about to use it on a virgin 4.2u, so those who are scaring people away with "doesn't work" can go somewhere else. This IS where i learned how to trucha and where i once again return to repeat the process.

this tutorial doesn't help at all. even with the notes it doesn't work for 4.2 and the wads mentioned in the description are not those which are demanded by the prog and download by wifi is not possible either. you should define more clearly what you are doing there and for which ios or wii or whatever this is meant to be.

All the updates do is changing the IOS's (I think)

And this guide shows how to change those you need to change in order for it to work.

for those getting the error returned -2011, on the second step when you have to patch ios36 make sure to press the A button when selecting ios15 and not the B button.

if you don't have ios36 like me, the first time you run this, do it with ios35. Then continue as normal!

I have managed to completely soft mod my wii and get a USB loader working on it, however whenever i try to open either of the compressed ISO files i have downloaded (super mario galaxy 2 and Red Steel 2) i get the error "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" and it dosen't let me de-compress it. I am sure that there must be some other way of doing it because both of the files cannot both have something wrong with them. Any ideas? PLEASE HELP!
