  • Have you ever consinderd playing football? lol

  • That's some heavy lumber lifting!

  • Sick strength!

    Whats your bodyweight?

  • @democratusnostradas 250 pounds

  • omfg what would happen to his knees?

  • Damn man that is awesome. When i first saw this i thought it was filmed on a prison yard haha judging from your workout gear i think you might know what im talking about. Great vid man... strong like bull

  • RESPECT!

  • great form man. you should get some flat hard soled shoes, because those trainers are taking away some power and making you more unstable.

  • @dt76028 Thanks Ive heard that before about trainers bad shoe to squat in. I prefer to squat barefeet when its not cold.

  • i couldnt tell ... are you using high or low-bar position?

  • @muzimuzi this is low bar

  • @mitchelltom32 probabaly the angle but i see now

  • Great vid and lift got to love the fresh air supply!

  • @xmtowntyx thanks fresh air is great theres nothing like training in the outdoors!

  • If wood can't support the weight, you'll hear it when it starts breaking, unlike iron equipment. you'll have some time to get out of there.

  • Hoe do you make this

  • Now that is da shit... Power to the "REAL" People... You got spirit Man !!

  • I'm loving this video! I have plans to do the same thing (put a squat rack outside) I tend to squat better away from larger gyms (less distractions etc) once again loved the video!

  • Hardcore, working outside with that equipment is awsome! You prove that you don't need neon lights and chrome to get a REAL workout!

  • Great outdoor squat rack Not bad, check out my homade 2hp europinch and my Arthur Saxon bar, they are awesome for pinching strength

  • Perfect form!

  • Wow

  • Do you squat even if it's raining?

  • @zoikles1 not if its heavy rain. I deadlift under shed roof when it rains us out on leg days

  • @mitchelltom32 real man. squatting even when its raining. thats what im talkin about.

  • Manliest thing I've witness so far.

  • Man this brings back memories. At the age of 15 I started training in my backyard behind our mobile home in Georgia in 1976. Made a wooden bench, used a steel rod from a junk yard for a bar, cut a groove in a pine tree and leaned a 2x10 into it to do inclines and used cinder blocks for plates until I could do better...This is GREAT SHIT Bro. Thanks for posting.

  • @dawgteam44 thanks appreciate it!

  • I'd be afraid the wood couldn't support the weight

  • @BrianDWalker3445 Its really strong the post are 6 inches thick buried in the ground 2 foot with concrete. The other boards are treated 2x10s very strong typically found under house floors. I have dropped 505 pounds doing squats before I lost my balance & fell forward the rack held it just fine. I have also done over 700 pound rack pulls off the rack no problem. You would be surprised how strong wood is when something is built properly.

  • you should put some hot babes in front of you bro

  • getto but effective

  • ...ummm you're not...going low enough...you fucking beast.

  • Your rack is sweet. Good form and a lot of weight

  • Perfect form fuck the haters

  • dude i thought of making a squat rack like that but i didnt know if it would hold without looking bulky. but im lovin the squat rack haha

  • @Devinsouthernredneck Yeah it holds up well & wasnt that expensive either thanks!

  • When your barbell is bending, you know you are lifting some heavy ass tonnage, insane man.

  • legend

  • Nice Squats man, and kudos for training outside. Most folks wouldn't workout in those circumstances, just goes to show that attitude is everything.

  • @wildes5447 thanks someone with a"can do" attitude can do anything!

  • God damn that is an awesome squat rack.

  • dude that really is fucking awesome. great squat rack man and excellent squatting

  • @MetalDrummer09 thanks appreciate it dude

  • Amazing ambient for lifting...and I love that rack. Great lifts!

  • @TheGoachild thanks its a great place to train!

  • Big squat brother

  • @CHAlexReinhard thanks bro

  • @mitchelltom32 Beast

  • awesome man, all you need is some Pantera blaring out there.

  • @dt76028 thanks bro I love Pantera perfect music to squat to!

  • you could easily get 505 8 times..im jelly bro lol

  • @fivefingerbp98 thanks bro Im doing my squats without knee wraps now. Im going to try to do this without wraps just a belt.

  • Pretty sure that peice of plywood would snap in half if you ever dropped the weights lol

  • @BenRulez420 wheres the plywood? thats 6 inch thick posts with treated 2x10 boards Ive had 900 lbs on this rack no problem its been in use for over 10 years

  • now thats what i call a gym!!

  • fuck you have a nice 'gym' props.

  • Your a damn animal!!

  • How do you keep your back so straight? Whenever I go heavy I always bend my back so much it hurts, I try to keep it straight but can't,? Also, your squat rack just inspired me to build my own, thanks

  • @brettmoosethompson Your squat stance has alot to do with your back being straight. the wider your stance the easier it is to keep your back straight. I always try to keep my knees out and my toes slightly turned out. I also believe one should do deadlifts and train back which helps when one squats. I hope this helps thanks for the comment.

  • I like ur squat rack

  • this is a warrior gym

  • Awesome beast

  • Awsome work man. I gotta get to doing some squattin'! You are bad ass! Much respect to you!

  • You're a fucking tank man

  • when the bar starts to bend you know your doing a good job

  • bad ass, dude

  • Comment removed

  • this video is beast, what a badass place to squat

  • @triggersprollie thanks! training outdoors is great

  • @mitchelltom32 How do you prepare for squats man? I'm a skinny 16 year old trying to gain some mass in my legs, and I swear, personally, Squats are the hardest exercise ever!

  • @BenjaminKuruga squats are very tough! I wold recommend pyramid training warming up good and getting progressively heavier each set this conditions your body for the next set . Over time doing this you will gradually get stronger mental & physical. You cant build strength over night it takes consistant training & a good diet and mental attitude to get where you want.

  • @mitchelltom32 Thanks man!

  • @mitchelltom32 Do you store your weights and bar away from the elements so they don't rust?

  • @MaulqasmPK The bars and weights hold up well in the elements. I have 3 bars the bar used for squats I leave outside the other 2 I keep under a shed. I occasionally spray them with wd 40. The weights really havent rusted that much they have been out there over 10 years.

  • wow niceeeeeeee

  • @kingP62 appreciate it!

  • Nice lifting dude, whats your squat PR now?

  • @chriswww thanks My best PR was 600 for a double I did a few months ago. I havent maxed on these in a while I have been working really hard on my deadlifts lately it takes alot out of me to focus on both lifts all the time.

  • hardcore!

  • @serbakovmarci thanks

  • Old School Rules!!! I almost expected him to be using a train axle with varying numbers of metal wheels on each side. Well done, indeed!

  • @furusaogoge thanks I love the old school way of lifting and training!

  • primitive but still the best

  • Rocky workout!

  • @terramar111 He eats rocky for breakfast dude!! :D

  • dang this reminds me of the old weight pits from back in the day that resembled dungeons. pretty hardcore

  • Awesome!

  • that is one ghetto boogie ass rack, but it gets the job done,so nice lift

  • @kushbluntsandrozay lol thanks

  • I can tell you this much if you go and get a squat suit you will squat even more weight you are the man

  • how tall are you? and what do you weigh?

  • @kenthemason 6 ft 1 around 250

  • It's a cool rack you've got. Well done. I see you got a lot of praise in the comments here, and I'd chime in and agreee, but I'd also like to have a side view of your squats to judge depth better. Also, is there any point in the knee wraps apart from lifting more, you think? Regards from a dedicated squatter from Norway. Keep up the good work, and stay strong!

  • @kraftsportNO thanks appreciate it! I wrap my knees to mainly to keep knee pain down on the heavy sets they definitely help me lift more too. I probally a little high on some of these squats. I dont never go below parallel anymore because of knee pain.

  • deep as fuck!

  • Blair witch!!!

  • This is one of the best lifting videos I have seen. Squatting heavy on your home-built squat rack in the cold is manly on multiple levels!

    Awesome job building and lifting!

  • @StanleyKu thanks man appreciate that

  • good work man. I hope your dedication is paying off. one question, how long did it take you to set up the home built squat rack and stuff? it looks interesting im trying to study how you did this

  • @MicrosoftIndesign thanks it didnt take that long about a day to build.

  • If the bar ain't bending, you're just pretending. Nice job deforming that bar almost beyond recognition! Just don't try that in a commercial gym - you may well piss off the local wife beater attired Slim Shady's just chomping at the bit' to use that bar for their 65-lb curls in the squat rack.

  • @LutherMartinIII lmao thats funny I actually prefer a bent bar for squats only.

  • Tank status. People, you want to make gains, do squats. The amount of people I see moan about no gains who do isolation exercises only is stupid. Powerful compounds will get you that thick trunk, just like mitchelltom32 :)

  • @hawkinsa21 thanks bro youre exactly right squats are one of the best movements u can do to get big & strong! I base the core of my workouts around 3 movements squats, deadlifts, benchpress anything else is just assistance exercises.

  • @mitchelltom32 credit where it is due. So many people buy into the whole 'must have gym membership' thing. I've always worked out at home, its just easier. I don't have a proper squat rack so I'm trialing a home made squat stand, with some safety bars. I use weighted dips instead of bench press, just a preference thing. But, your weights and physique are what I'm aiming for. It will take years, but hard work pays off.

  • Fuck yeah fuck air conditioning good ol earth energy!

  • thats good money

  • ghetto rack man!

  • One of the most manly videos on youtube.

  • working outdoors is great and you made your rack , very cool.

  • @ebutuoy9000 thanks man the outdoors is great!

  • Wow, i'd love to workout outdoors near a personal cottage in the woods like that

  • For Christ sakes, now I really don't have any excuses left.

  • this kinda reminds me of Rocky movies

  • yowza! how do u get motivated to lift at jome? if i'm home all i wanna do is drink and watch tv or play video games. i have to go to a gym. my hat off to you, sir.

  • @secutorclaudius thanks! I love training at home I have trained at home for over 10 years. I workout with family and friends they help motivate me it works for me just be consistent in your training it doesnt matter where you train give it 100 percent and you will make gains.

  • @mitchelltom32 thanks, bro! keep it up!

  • guys a BEAST cool video !!!

  • Great video..cool squat rack..old school!

  • @viking8316 thanks

  • perfect form perfect squat rack lol

  • @93Dwightfreeney thanks dude

  • Is that a sissy pad I see? ;¬ ).

Seriously though, nice squats and I think many are underestimating your power rack.

  • @MightyJoeBlack95 no sissy pad lol its a piece of steel welded on the bar to help keep it from bending anymore

  • @mitchelltom32 God, even if it was, it didn't lose any credibility. Now, that I know you are adding harder things to the bar, to stop it from bending, it is even more impressive.

All that weight on your shoulders and then a piece of rigid steel. Yeah... you're not hard or strong at all.

  • @mitchelltom32 BTW, subscribed for you and liked.

  • That's some Rocky three shit but its bad ass squatting like a champ

  • @gowrestle160 thanks man gotta love Rocky!

  • you post will get someone hurt do you really think those 2x10 on the side will catch 500 pounds if you fall use you head or the bar will to brace its fall to the ground

  • @hausarm absolutely I have dropped over 500 pounds halfway up on a squat a few years ago it didnt break! probally saved my life. them boards are very strong turned up edgeways more than enough to hold what im squatting with 500 its just 250 pounds on each board Ive been using this for close to 10 years works great

  • very impressive , i bet nobody curls in that one

  • @jtoddjb lol thanks squats only!

  • What happens if it rains? lol

  • @MikePowerlifter we have squatted in the rain as along as its not raining to hard lol! When it rain rains us out we deadlift in my carport its not that big of a probem.

  • thats some old school heavy ass squats. good job.

  • @haboobon thanks dude

  • excellent...how long did it take you to make that rack?...very impressed!!

  • @MrTeejaysingh thanks man I built it in one day the hardest part was mixing the concrete. The post are are 10 ft long, 2 ft buried in the ground I notched a 2 x 10 into the post everthing is treated lumber. The rack is about 8 years old its never failed. I have had over 700 pounds on this setup it held up fine it took about 30 bags of concrete to pour the pads I put rebar steel in the concrete for extra support.

  • because basics work nice to see a bar bent instead of straight and shiny

  • @MrLrndj thanks dude I believe in just the basics thats all ive got and all I need lol

  • nice setup bro

  • Great video

  • Awesome power.

  • @815Rider thanks dude appreciate the comments

  • I bought a 12" diameter wheel well pulley(gin wheel)and hung it up 15 feet on a tree

limb.Got 25' of 1" rope and a small cargo net . Everything from Plates to bricks&rocks

for payload.A couple of hand over hand trips up and down and I feel like I've done a dozen sets of curls and pullovers. I thought I had everything until I saw your squat rack . Now , where's my ripsaw!!! lol

  • Great rack and superb lifting . Fresh air means fresh motivation. I lift

outdoors also. My lat machine is a gin wheel that hangs in a tree.Great

    videos . Thanks for posting

  • @MrSticksb thanks dude thats a good idea for a lat machine I might have to try something like that.

  • nice work! is your bar permanently bent - ha ha

sweet rack too, what kind of wraps are you using?

  • @j0540212 lol yeah that bar has had it. the wraps are inzer z wraps I ordered them from inzernet.com thanks
