@mango2005 Hey, I'm no "prize", myself...but I should've put "ugly" in quotation marks in the title of the song. People get told what they're supposed to like and socialized into believing certain things are attractive, desirable, and worthwhile...meanwhile, there are all sorts of beauties within people that go dismissed and ignored. What a crying shame.

Someone said this is a sad song, its anything but sad!!! its an extremely funny song, and very factual too, David has things in perspective here,beauty gets rewarded,this is a comic but honest song, and I register that I love it. Dave it could do with one more verse, and a chorus, and you have definately have a hit on your hands, I am already walking around the house singing it, it's very catchy indeed, well done Dave, I will share this with some of my friends,who have a sense of humor.

Thanks for all your great observations/comments! I'm loving this...no, no no, this isn't a sad song at all. I meant for it to be funny, ironic, and challenging....in fact, if you notice, I look kinda angry on verse 3...so there's a little bite to it.

I showed the lyrics to a couple who were close friends of mine and they were a little hesitant to tell me, "Post it, David" because the lyrics are pretty sarcastic, and harsh.

I meant this song to jolt people into examining themselves.

I can only say that this song could become a big hit in Britain,because we love ugly people & we empathize with them,in Britain we have many examples big noses,and warts etc,prince charles huge ears etc I can honestly say that this is my favorite video for today,and I have seen some good ones,I think the song is clever,and could become a rugby football hymn etc,it reminds me of "living next door to Alice" it was very successful simply because of the gap that was in the Lyrics for a 4 letter word

This song should be a hit David because it sheds some God awful truth on the simple fact that we all too often judge the book by it's cover, rather than by the depths and beauty of the words contained within.
