The Native American Culture had peace with each other and the land. They even welcomed Christians. They believed in the community effort to help within villages to make sure no one suffered. Christians of course destroyed their culture and forced them to live in reservations.

Actually, Native Americans being all lovely-dovey, at peace with each other, is a white man's myth.

Many tribes were in an almost constant state of war, such as Iroquois vs. Heron, Navajo vs. Hopi, and the Apache hated everyone. To name but a few examples.

And they warred for the same reasons all men fight: Land, loot, women, pride and glory. And fear.

Indians weren't saints, and not one would tell you they were. Just people, good and bad, like everyone else.
