  • somewhere in China, there is a guy laughing at all the people he scammed by selling the digitizer by itself

  • pretty shit

  • You fuckin muppet

  • I dont know why but mine came right off...then i broke the screen again lol and i easily removed it again. You just have to be patient.

  • U stabbed your self y?

  • If the screen was half working its because the digitizer cable either tore or wasn't attached completely same goes for the LCD but there's a better chance the LCD cracked if the LCD is the issue

  • so.... take this how you want, but heres my method.

i swear ill post a vid, so dont bitch at me...

    get a pair of gloves...

    get a spark plug

    get a hammer...

put the spark plug in a bag or something, hit it with the hammer, be sure you have on gloves, reach inside and get a small shattered piece of the porcilan white stuff from the plug...

throw it at the screen, it will bust into tiny lil bits

now get a pair of tweezers and some safeT glasses and pick off every lil piece of glass..

    worked for me

  • I bought an LCD touch screen digitizer and i applied it but one cable was stuck between the LCD and the metal frame and then i fixed it..and when turned on the iphone the screen was half working, does that have to do with the cable getting stuck??

  • I received both the LCD and the digitizer separate as a gift, so i can't send them back obviously. I have a broken screen and a messed up LCD on my phone. I wana replace it as soon as possible..Am i screwed? Help me guys!!

  • Most of the parts I have seen come with the lcd screen and digitizer for this reason.....

  • Wtf I got one on eBay with the thing you attach to the logic board but not the screen itself? I thought the screen IS what that's connected to

  • @KenanVideos Unless they go to 2 different areas

  • Try putting it in the oven face down for 30-40 min at 220° be carefull cause it gets hot. I looked up the max heat tolerance for an LCD and it's 105° celsius. so 220 f but I think you need to give the glue time to melt.

  • no solution mate....i m repairing i devices and about 8-10 per day and there is no way to melt that glue :)

    Nice vid

  • this is the best video cz I am a technician my self and i bought the digitiser but i was getting troubles separating it so now that i`ve watched the video i feel robbed as well cz its impossible to separate the L.C.D from the digitiser. Thanks Buddy! for the video!

  • This video helped me more ways than you can imagine..

  • Thanks man

  • Yup pretty much much same problem let me know if u fix thx

  • I got mine off no problem without heat

  • Comment removed

  • i have a question for you mate, what if someone accidently buys the touch screen (without the lcd screen) and then he buys the lcd , can he somehow attach these two together and call it a day?or is it either the set or nothing?thanks

  • I felt a bit scammed because I felt missinformed. I also bought Touch Screen Digitizer without the LCD. Now I have to reorder again.

  • What about using something like GooGone, or an industrial strength adhesive remover - like something from 3M? I haven't tried it yet...

  • I can't get the longest screw (the top middle one) of the motherboard to reach the thread. Any trouble shooting tips? The motherboard is now raised just enough so that i cannot get my cover back on. Please help!!

  • @deweese If you can't thread the screw all the way down, then most likely your using the wrong screw.

  • Hey I bought both the LCD and digitizer separately. I figured it would be cheaper because think about it; the first time you have to replace your screen you have to replace the whole assembly, but if both pieces are separate you only need to replace the digitizer, right. Does anyone know a good way to assemble the pieces not so much by use of glue, but by others mean.

    Thanks!

  • There is a guy in my area offering iphone replacement digitizers - INSTALLED for 50$.. i do repairs my self and i know this is not possible, he claims it is.

  • Does anyone know if I bought the LCD and screen seperately, can I bond them together?? Thanks

  • so people just selling the glass part that's a scam what are you supposed to do with that?

  • @judilynnlols Yes pretty much, they are just taking advantage of people who dont know better

  • @UnitediPhoneRepair or just buy an LCD and fuse the two parts together, may look bad, but u can use the piece you couldn't use before:)

  • @judilynnlols Purchase LCD Separately once with no glue and fix the digitizer every time for 10 dollars

  • @judilynnlols not really u can buy the lcd separate and install each piece independently. saves lotta $

  • Guys, i have broken my iphone 4 display glass but the lcd and touch works just fine. Everything is normal except that i got a broken glass. Should i buy a new lcd and touch + display glass or only display glass? I have heard that they are all one piece but i have also heard that they are seperated pieces?

  • @CrystaliiCode They do sell them as separate pieces but as you can see in the video it would be nearly impossible to reuse the LCD. So I would buy the whole assembly, you can get them from our website!

  • You're taking the backlight plane off from the lcd, the digitizer is still bonded to the polarizer and lcd glass. You need to break the digitizer fromt the front and create a crack on only the digitizer that runs down the length of the glass. Then you pick away the glass in small pieces using an Xacto or scalpel (stick your knife under a piece of glass, and push up while moving downwards, breaking the glass as youre going.

  • @brainslay3r So do you regularly remove the glass from the LCD and then reuse the LCDs???

  • @UnitediPhoneRepair I am in the process of doing exactly as brainslay suggested and shettering it as much as possible gently but then heating and carefully removing the glass from the inside first and working outward not sure if it will work but we will see

  • ok so its not possible to separate display from glass and dgitizer?

  • Thanks....I'll have a look now! About to reassemble now. God...I might just watch your videos to hear you lovely voice! ha! (Sorry English girl finding your accent very nice....where is it from in the states anyway?!) =0)

  • PLease try this, i heard some chinese guy bought ONLY the glass of the iphone 4, he get raid off all the broken glass on the iphone and then he just glued up the other glass, if iu have another screen please try this method, I really need this

    sorry for my bad english

  • Nice hands and a nice voice!! ha. It is not possible, I tried tonight but it comes off in 2 parts. I'm annoyed as I was mis-sold what I thought was the digitizer and screen and only got the screen! Now I have all the parts off of the phone and now I'm worried I'm gonna get confused putting it all back together! HELP!!

  • @Maisiemay75 Dang thats too bad! My company supplies the real replacement screens that you need with the LCD and digi attached. Also we have a video that will show you how to put your phone back together! Check it out!

  • is there a video where u show how to Glue the LCD and digitizer together?

  • if your fixing some1's iphone 4 cracked glass just charge em for the price of the digitizer and LCD together cause there no way they come apart... i tried... n broke the lcd. heat gun will leave heat marks on the screen cuz we i turned it on i saw red marks..

  • i got it off seccessfully after like burning my fingers while pulling it off gentley AS THE HEAT GOES ON FOR ABOUT 1 HOURE. after trying to put it on a SCREEN I BOUGHT FOR $25 found out the LCD NO LONGER TURNS ON. I LEARNED MY LESSON.

  • I do accually not see the reason.

  • Cheers for sharing this vid man.. btw u have a nice hands ;)

  • same result here :((

  • i just tried it i heateded it there is no way u can do it

  • Yeah just tried it but it's impossible!!!!!!

  • "Trainning"... LOL!!! WTF is "trainning" ???

  • I wanna see if it will work

  • try goof off it removes glue try putting it around the edge of the LCD to somewhat remove it and make a new vid
