so i just read the comments and what this team is doing is called pom! i think what some of the other people are referring to is called CHEER! not pom last time i checked pom was a combo of cheer elements with dance technique. which is why its called pom not cheer!

Yeah, i watched it and i didnt really like it. It's all just arm movements without really any technique and no dance. They were all very sharp and had a few cool stunts but just not my style at all.

what *isn't* a money maker? you think NDA is any better? they can't even keep a local competition together. damn thing has changed dates four times in 2 months. or mid-american, who has pretty much created their own style of pom for teams that don't have any dance experience, skills, or flexibility, all you have to do is move your poms in a pretty pattern. every major dance assoc. for hs/college teams is owned by varsity spirit... so they are all in the same money hungry pool.

fouette = prep into turn. leg opens at front, returns to pirouette position, repeat

a la seconde= prep into turn, leg opens at front, returns to prep, open, prep open. never comes back to "pirouette" position. (this is what you are doing at :58, these are NOT fouettes, although the names are often misused interchangeably.)
