Oh ffs. Any publicity around a finger based ID system should always emphasize that it doesn't work with *dead* fingers. It's important that bad guys know that chopping fingers off won't work. Or is this system so crap that you can use detached fingers??

It works by using infrared waves to detect the heat of the blood going through your blood vessels.

Dead fingers wouldn't have hot blood in them unless they were freshly cut off. Even then you could still prevent robbery by making the machine check for a pulse.
