Yeah, this is a big reason I liked Jess. He wasn't afraid to tell Rory off when she needed it - he didn't mollycoddle her, he pushed her to be better.
@wassup9 Each of Rory's boyfriends were perfect for her at the different points in her life. Dean was a nice, sweet first boyfriend. Jess was the rebellious bad boy. And Logan came at a time in her life where she really needed to get away from being a good girl and find out what she really wanted to do with her life. I do admit Milo and Alexis had the best chemistry, but saying that Jess was a perfect boyfriend doesn't make any sense. He wasn't boyfriend material. That's why they didn't work out
@Becsta17 I loved both characters. Peter was actually the only thing that made me keep watching Heroes even when the show got crappy. But yeah, Jess was pretty awesome too.

The look on his face after he smiles and walks away kills me every time. He really did want to catch up with her and see how she was doing and tell her all about his new life in Philly and just have a good time with Rory, but he didn't get to do any of that because of Logan.
In my opinion Jess was the best for Rory. And Dean and Logan can just go and do one :P But maybe im slightly biased because i like Milo tehee but more later as Peter from Heroes ;)

I HATE, hate, hate that the writers used the character of Jess so many times for their bidding. Think about it... In season 3, they were dating but despite being a jerk, he cared for Rory more than we knew until season 6. In season 4, when he came back and told her he loved her she went back with God-awful Dean because she missed Jess so much, and in season 6 he made her realize of the huge mistake she was making. And she STILL didn't give him a second chance. I miss the Rory of high school...

The most loving part of this scene is when Jess says "I know you, I know you better than anyone" it's perfect. And it's right. Jess was the only who fits perfect with Rory.
After all of those years--he still remembered her birthday. They really need to wrap things up in the future. Fanfiction is not that substantial rather than the real thing. Jess yelling at her is heartbreakingly necessary and loving. I missed him in every single episode that he did not appear.

The actor that portrays Jess actually dated Alexis (Rory)?! I didn't know that. Wow. See...they are perfect for each other. Jess and Rory were so great together. Unlike Dean and Logan, Jess actually accepted her for who she was and became a better person because of her influence.
I think when they played that scene, it was acutally planned that Rory and Jess end up together in season 7 after Logan breaking up with Rory. But as Milo didn't want to return to Gilmore Girls... well.
i love that it was jess who in the end helped rory to get her life back on track and it was him to make her realize her mistakes. that says a lot, and even if they couldnt be together, it would always be jess who did that for her
i love how jess grew up like that. and how they still managed to keep it in character. it wasn't like he grew up and we lost his "sarcastic jerk at times personality". we still had that, but we also saw someone who could be there for rory.
i love how the situation just flips. the whole time they were dating, she was telling him he could do more with his life and he was just gonna "work when he needed money" but now hes matured and is asking her whats going on with her.
dont u find it ironic that Jess is the one telling rory to get her act together after she did the same when they were dating? it shows how much Jess matured and how he would have been ready for a relationship with her now. I love the growing up he did and they would have been perfect, after all he does know her better than anyone else :)
i think that jess and rory were always supposed to be one of those undeniable love stories. the writers were always trying to show that they were soul mates. i mean, jess was the only one who ever really knew her and vice versa. they are and always will be made for each other.
jess is the only one that can see right through her and he always comes back. they are the definition of star crossed lovers.
plus, if the show hadn't ended in season 7 the writers did say that they might have had rory and jess together again.
i think it would have been perfect if after rory said no to marrying logan, jess showed up at her graduation party, they kissed, and she realised the reason she said no to logan was because shed been in love with jess all along.

I stopped watch GG mostly because I was never home when it was on and partly because Rory moved in with Logan. I never got that. He is so much like her grandparents and Jess got Rory better then anyother guy she was with. the only reason Jess got on the bus and ran away is because he had too many issues going on.

i didn't like Jess at first, but then I think he shows his real self - he cares for rory, really does, and is not that clingy and over protective like dean or - donno, how can you discribe logan? - little jerk?! And Jess is right!! As I saw this scene for the first time and jess tells rory whats about her and her live I just though: YOU GOT IT MATE!!! Thank you so much!

I honestly can't decide b/t Dean and Jess. Dean was perfect in the sense he was so dependable and sweet to her, and he would have done anything in the world to make her happy, but he was just too safe of a choice. Jess was so good for her b/c he was always brutally honest and not afraid to tell her when she's being stupid, but he hurt her so many times b/c he didn't really appreciate her. Although I think she should've given him a 2nd chance.

After all of those years--he still remembered her birthday. They really need to wrap things up in the future. Fanfiction is not that substantial rather than the real thing. Jess yelling at her is heartbreakingly necessary and loving. I missed him in every single episode that he did not appear.

i think that jess and rory were always supposed to be one of those undeniable love stories. the writers were always trying to show that they were soul mates. i mean, jess was the only one who ever really knew her and vice versa. they are and always will be made for each other.
jess is the only one that can see right through her and he always comes back. they are the definition of star crossed lovers.

I stopped watch GG mostly because I was never home when it was on and partly because Rory moved in with Logan. I never got that. He is so much like her grandparents and Jess got Rory better then anyother guy she was with. the only reason Jess got on the bus and ran away is because he had too many issues going on.
