@x4dow ATI dont exist, now is AMD, it is the same thing only change the name. ¿¿Nvidia eats ati???? xD you are funny, NVIDIA and INTEL are shits, Nvidia dont belong to AMD idiot.
This is very exciting! We can finally say goodbye to low graphics machines. Now any cheap budget lappy/rig can play very decent games!! Might save up and build a super budget rig as a present for my bro, he still has crappy 64mb integrated graphics xP. :)
@nadeem014014 Sure the games might be old, but look at it from a relative perspective. The horsepower needed in a GPU to run crysis is kind of ridicoulous, and here we have an IGP running it smoothly - That's something to feel accomplished about. we're not talkin low end graphics card here, we're talkin straight up shitty old Integrated Graphics. You runnin an Intel by any chance?
@XxBlakpaladinxX NOP....i am not using intel...i have a gigabyte ga785gmt usb3.0 with hd 4200 IGP and, phenom 2 x2 555 unlockable and over clockable and transcend 4gig ddr3 1333 ram......last good game i played smoothly was cod mw2....black ops with lowest setting......i am not saying agp is not cool ....its good when u cant afford a seperate graphic card...but at some point AGP will also be useless..unless u can run igp and dedicated graphic card together..wouldn't it give the best performance.
@nadeem014014 THIS IS AN APU NOT an AGP, agp slots died years ago close to a decade ago they were replaced by pci-E remember agp is already and has already been useless
Hello GIGABYTE, Can't find and Memory Support List links that work on any of your A75 product pages. Get it together please! Stop playing Crysis and do some work guys lol
I had to laugh when he said "nothing too fancy here" when the APU cooler is so huge it would almost need it's own tower! Well it's as big as the PSU anyway!
Yes the question is Can you use the APU independently from your discrete GFX card? Only short term benifit I could see.
Personally I think I was more impressed with the amt they OC'd the RAM (1333 to 2240MHz)! Haven't done any OC'ing in years but that sounds like a huge increase to me over 80% wow! Again huge RAM coolers there.
What a great solution for mainstream PC without discrete graphic card !
Even if during the test the APU is OCed results are impressive. We could imagine the potential of such a chipset. Don't forget that AMD integrate radeon solution into their APU...
Anf for hardcore gamers, they could still add discrete graphic card... :)
It's pretty damn good for only 140 and the New fm1 socket motherboards from Asus and Gig are pretty high quality too with all the USB 3.0 and what not. I'm doing a build with this processor in the next couple weeks here and it's perfect since I'm running on a mid range budget.
@swagen107 AMD I believe has even been thinking about scrapping low end discrete GPUs. But seriously. If you just want a general purpose computing experience to display a visual output, and that's all - then an APU is more energy efficient and makes more sense.
If you're buying a dedicated GPU, it only makes lots of sense to be paying for high-end or high-midrange graphics cards.
But yes, I can see the low-end dedicated GPU market dying out.
@AmH032uTuBe The only thing that may keep it alive in my opinion, is the image quality for low-end dedicated GPUs for HTPC uses. Lower end, and especially IGPs, tend to have low image quality, worse de-interlacing and colour reproduction, etcetera. But if they can make the image quality just as good with these APUs, then I don't see any particular or sensible reason for the low-end dedicated GPU market to exist any more.
@swagen107 yea i guess so who wil need one when u can get a midrange one with ur cpu just liek intels integreted gpus they are not good by far but are good for most things
@swagen107 Not really. There are still years worth of DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 games to come. All of the major game developers have been meeting DirectX 9 requirements on their big titles. This is the first "low-end standard" for DirectX 11. Something like this will be the bear minimum years from now. People thought Nvidia's Nforce IGP would be an end to low-end graphics, but that is not the case. The bar is just getting raised again -- such is the life of computer hardware and software.
@feuchster Not if you add 1 6970, combined with what the APU already has, using crossfire interlink, you will end up with a MONSTER GAMING system... up to 40% fps increase, with just 1 dedicated GFX card. hope they implement the same tech in their new "Bulldozer" 22mn Processor.
@XxBlakpaladinxX Yes, I know, I was just saying that I hope they include APU tech in the 22MN processor since they are not going to in the 32MN processor.
A couple key points. Crysis 2 is a console port. Thus, not quite as graphically intensive as something like Battlefield 3. Performance seems to be on par with Starcraft 2. What kind of frame rates were you getting without the APU overclocked? :)
@FLTechSergeant Crysis 2 is NOT a console port. And console ports are generally harder to run fluently, due to bad porting. Crysis 2 is actually very optimized and plays very good on modest hardware, especially when graphics quality is accounted for. A lot of games available for PC are console ports these days, but Crysis 2 is NOT one of them.
@90arni Double check your data. The game was optimized for console, not PC. :) I see a lot of comments saying it's not a console port. But, they can rationalize it all they want. "...optimized for console..." :)
Is that the Dual or Quad Core APU? The graphics look great, but I can't see how most people would be able to fit that monster CPU Heatsink in their case!
Liquid cooled might be a better way to go, because you could push the CPU/GPU even further.
@cammz3 Actually CHEAP liquid cooling like the H70 is louder. a good liquid cooling system such as a custom loop can be near silent at around 10db. liquid cooling is as loud as the fan your using so it will be nearly identical to air cooling if you test both side by side with the same fan but liquid will give you much better cooling if its a full loop. the H70 sucks because the radiator is too small to effectively cool anything without increasing the fan speed
@cammz3 only if you decide not to insulate them. simply create a small box slightly larger than the pump and put acoustic dampening material inside (nonflammable of course cuz the pump will get pretty hot if its closed up like that). cut out the holes for the tubing and then once you install the tubing just use some silicon glue to close the gaps. if you do it right you will have a silent pump. of course you still have to mount it to your case properly to get rid of any vibrations but thats easy
Scythe GentleTyphoons. they come in different speeds. just buy the one and get a good fan controller and your set. the 1150RPM model is only 16db so just turn it down a bit and you wont hear it unless its right in your face. I was planning on Bulldozer FX, but now I know that would've been a mistake. I know people who are selling their AM3+ boards on ebay, actually.
But AMD Fusion is a great product, and I am seriously considering it for my next system. Gonna wait for em to get better/faster tho.

Of course not all solution are the best one for everybody as we all have different needs and perception.
I am proud about the continue efforts GIGABYTE does in upgrading our digital life with always new stunning motherboards.
Anyone of you ever came to Visit Italy ?

its my impression or there are almost only haters here?
For a built in "IGP" its great, terrific feature to even play crysis 2 at 40fps (although the "1" is heavier then 2)
try that on de HD2000 or HD3000 !!!
But the memory over to 2000+ plays a major role, because the igp will use the ram as "vram", I guess
The "cpu" over was not extreme, at only @3,6.
But crysis 2 at 40 fps, very impressive!!!
