jsut curious how old something has to be to be considered vintage? I am a bit confused I am 47 and at 50 yrs old or more things are considered vintage and over 100 yrs antique past 60 years they are retro at least that is what I was always taught- anyhow love the book!
I follow almost the same belief. My research (journals from historians and antique dealers) states that in order for something to be considered antique, it must be over 100 years old. However, some dealers consider certain items that are not a hundred years old, like vehicles and radios, "antique". As far as vintage goes, it depends on the item, the buyer, and the dealer.
Teenagers consider rock T-shirts from the 80's "vintage" and many manufacturers advertise them this way. I guess it depends on your age. I consider vintage anything that is between 50-99 years old. As far as retro goes, I think it could mean "old-fashion" or "classic". So this could mean anything created 10-49 years ago. I tend to think more of the 50's-60's because of the "pop art" and "fashions" of those decades.
Oh my Vangie! What a beautiful mini. I can't wait to get my mini. Lovin the musical note lollipop flowers. I love all the details. Thank you so much. I'm super excited. TFS!!!!
