He is a great artist who's family came from the same country like me. His name is David Edward Kucera. David E. Kucera was born in San Jose, California in 1961. He first displayed his artistic nature at the age of five, after being sent to his room as punishment for a variety of mischievous deeds. As he sat wondering what he could do to pass the time, he noticed a box of colored crayons and four empty walls. One can guess what happened next ! :-)))
Why would anyone want to kill and or harm these beautiful people I am part Native American and why do people celebrate columbus day! That bitch killed raped alot of Native Americans and it gets me mad when people call then "indians", for the record the only reason that shit columbus called them that was because he thought he was in india!! DUM ASS!
People around the world got use to it to call them Indians and the real Indians from India are in this case kind of forgotten and very mad for that :-)
Awesome video & music. They will lead our new government in peace and order, so we can advance together. Let's just trust the process and FEEL what's best for all.
appreciate u show mothers do exist- (despite forced daycares & gov kidnap native kids for foster/adoption/orphanage businesses- see my vid my daughters drawing of longhouse women farm communes (dawes act of 1887 gave womens land to individual men)-"thus making native women as subjected to one man as the white women pioneers"-(iroquois women by spittal-for hope see UMOJA VILLAGE women kenya-& MOSUO women in china-ALL children are LEGITIMATE thru the mothers/grandmothers clan group-prevents abuse
The actions described here were a part of the culture. And each tribe would have a different society, with different customs. You cannot generalize about the treatment of women across all native american nations, just as you cannot steroetype the treatment of today's white north american women.
Either way, there are a lot of similarities and differences among various socieities, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Let's keep an open mind please.
I am a Red woman and yes i have never been respected by my family. They wanted me to be white and brainwashed me. Our people have major problems. We as a people need to help each other and not assimilate our children. We need a strong proud Red nation not an assimilated culturally ignorant one.
The pictures are amazing. Some are glamourized true. But history has shown that in most of tribal nations, the women were of value. For their knowledge, strength and growth of the tribes. Know and study these women, and learn of their contributions . The entire race suffered trials and tribulations and the women dealt with it. Losing homes, husbands and children. They are fierce and proud.
This is a great video and perfectly selected music to go with it, i believe that this kind of peace and love for family and nature is what God intended, i honestly don't know if there is a God... but if there is, this is what that God wanted!
I don't want to make enemies with no one, but if you tell me native americans had really valued women and respected them this it not true. Many native women where given away by there fathers or chiefs, for nothing. Native women had in some tribes had to share their husband (polygeny). And the biggest load of the work was done by women. Men shoot arrows and hunted, but women where gathers, hunted on small animals, take care of childeren etc. And clear the hides of animals, which is a nasty job.
As you just said : " Many native women where given away by there fathers or chiefs ... "
That's mean it was them the fathers and the chiefs who were played with them and not the woman giving out them self for nothing. And the rest what you say is true ... the woman were and are most hard working beings ... " ... take care of childeren etc. And clear the hides of animals, which is a nasty job " And as today they still remind in our society as the most important key to our better future.
That's the way it was with all women of every color. Sold or traded or married off, and made to do the brunt of the work. Time might have moved on but most women are still doing most the work. "not all the women" I know I do
@RoadlessPath and this video was to show respect to the woman who if what you say is true endured many struggles, let not forget the truth of the matter scientifically speakin native were believed to have traveled from the east from what is know as asia and central asia today, still a civilization know as kalash exisist and the trading of woman and poligamy is still a common occurance... so let have respect for these woman
@RoadlessPath When women were "given" away it was because in order for families & tribes not to have war with each other, they married families to bring peace
@RoadlessPath I agree with you. I'm not sure of other tribes, but the Cherokee women in those days did almost all of the work while the men were hunters. Just because the women were given equal roles does not mean they were given respect. To me it looks like the the men just didn't want the responsibility.
@RoadlessPath all of you speak as if you know anything, and group "native americans" into one lump. The fact is that each group of Indian People are and were distinct from one another and there was much diversity and much variation culturally. Please don't pretend to know anything about all of them or even most of them. We are a group of very diverse nations with very different customs of which no one here seems to know anything about.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Very interesting side note! Really? I sadly did not know that any culture respected or really valued women! It is so refreshing to hear! Were any of the women ever considered = as to the chief or hierarchy? This is veery interesting! Thank you!
i am not native american i am african american. but i have great respect and honor for the native american people and what they have gone through. Thank you for putting this up here. please don't let the tradition be lost
Our beautiful women of the First Nation of North America amaze me. All the crap they've been through and they still stand strong. Indians come from India, First Nations women were on this land and deserve that respect. Want to talk about Indians then find a song from India (nothing racial intended)
thats what i say we natives are not indians, indians are hindu people of india us native americans are actually asian decendent are ancestors are from northern asia or was called siberria
K, you keep believing that. My heart tells me First Nation people have ALWAYS been here. And I am not going to argue so whatever you believe in your heart to be true then I wish you the best with it. I am not Asian, I am First Nation Nakoda and Plains Cree.
There is NO truth in that shit that is a ridiculous lie made up by the whitebacks bc they wanted to find a way 2 justify that sick shit they did! WE ARE REFERRED TO AS NATIVE AMERICANS BC WE ARE NATIVE TO THIS LAND!!!!
well cheroshawnee each tribe has there own belifs us apaches are different from you souix's i think your a souix aint you or i dont know or cherokee, us apaches strech from the very western coast of washington all the way up to the very western coast of canada to alsaska but us apachs migrated because the blackfoot tribes always were at war with us in the early 18th and 19 century and mostly blackfoots killed apaches so it ben a hypothesis that we are asian migrant cause of us apaches in alaska.
Not just white people. People of the main stream media and the writers of the foolishly accepted history books that change every few years according to their agenda.
May empowerment of blessings to instill peace, prosperity and happiness with ease and grace come to these beautiful Native American Women, may they be honored with sweet Eagle feather blessings~:
This video almost made me cry, to know how we use to live, compared to now, how much struggle I go through, as a native man, with alcohol, drugs, depression, I sure wish I had been in those days........
The struggle is clearing the mind and tryin to see the path that is ahead of us. I polluted my body for 26 yrs; and now with 3 yrs clean I work in a treatment centre. Our people can still stand strong, but it has to come from within ourself with the desire and willingness to learn from what is around us. The Teachings are still out there, we're just not listening.
@nabedit2003 you can be in those days, make the suffering you experience with the alcohol, drugs and depression the catalyzing force, it is the way in which the creator is calling you. Ask the creator to send you the person to help you. Start practising the rituals of your peoples, if you stick with it, the pain will be replaced by joy, and you will be strong. Trust me.
He first displayed his artistic nature at the age of five, after being sent to his room as punishment for a variety of mischievous deeds. As he sat wondering what he could do to pass the time, he noticed a box of colored crayons and four empty walls. He began his formal schooling at the Colorado Institute of Art. In June of 1991, the artist graduated with honors. He loves painting Indians, featuring women and children.
Native women in the present are making visible efforts to renew traditions and to improve education, through self rule and by healing from within the culture itself. There is a strong effort being made by Native Women to improve their futures as well as to improve the futures of their children, spouses and the rest of the world. This traditional Native teachings is very mentor for the rest of the world to learn because that is the only teaching to save us all from biospheric and social destruction.
