  • ELI!!

  • i think this is his best live performance

  • who is the guy at the end with the 100 sign.

the song makes sport an art, if only for a moment.

  • @butopiatoo wilt chamberlin

  • @butopiatoo i think its wilt chamberlain when he scored a hundred points in a game

  • @terminator0271 KEWL! Thanks.

  • his voice makes me wanna come

  • Only a true man can be a sports fanatic and hit a high pitch like that.

  • who would dislike this

  • Excellent! My God! million Blessings! I love his songs!

  • Was watching sportscenter when he performed this live. it was awesome.

  • wow..he is super good live!

  • This man needs to be on Glee!!!!!

  • This is actually a very strong performance. Anyone who knows music and vocal registers will appreciate the caliber here. My hat's off to Five For Fighting...very, very impressive!

  • He's one of the only singers I listen to that I would rather hear live than on a recorded track. He has pure talent and deserves way mroe attention than he gets!

  • @RiverStar73519

your mom is a great performer. better than most now days

  • @justinable3 Really dude?

  • lolol looks like will ferrel

  • Excelent !

  • what year is this?

  • amazing. I'm stunned at his live skills. The worst part - the end...the stupid reporter didn't even let the moment sit for a little. too quick of a transition.

  • Doubt very much it's the reporter's fault - more like the director and it could have been a time issue. Those shows are run by White Rabbit like characters - you know - "I'm Late I'm Late for a very important date." Agree with you - he's amazing.

  • Goosebumps all over!

  • His voice is really low compared to his singing voice

  • he looks like will farrel

  • look at a picture of red hot chili peppers on of them (i think its the drummer) looks like will farrel

  • lol everyones lookin like will farrel haha

  • @XxBrOoKlYnKiDxX a little bit more like John C. Riley tho

  • @XxBrOoKlYnKiDxX He looks more like David Bryan from Bon Jovi!

  • Dayuuum Dana Jacobson luks gud on this video....love her with her hair cut short....she was a little thinner also....wow great song..oh he was on Jim Rome radion show Thur.

  • I gotta say, the Tempo is impeccable.

Most people don't have decent tempo, his is excellent.

  • He is so amazing..

  • At first I found the number correlation annoying during the song, but then I realized it might well have been intentional by the writer (O-whatever. I won't pretend to know how to spell it). And even if not, it brought the song to a new market, which is good. He's an incredibly gifted performer.

  • wait, what year was this

  • i love this song. the best song ever.

  • great song!!!!

  • soo amazing .

  • great song sounds better live

  • This is pretty amazing to me cause his voice live sounds just like the recorded song... He doesn't use any altering or electronic stuff at all

  • That tends to be how it is with piano-centered groups; gotta appreciate that.

  • Usually people don't sound as good live, but I got to say, this sounded amazing.

  • so this song has another side to it... lol u can use this song with different perspectives.

  • Oh c'mon! Just look into the guy's eyes. You can see depth. I actually love the sports references; I grew up watching the Gretz and I love seeing him in this video. Give it a break, stop TRYING to be intellectual (pseudo) and just appreciate what you're hearing.

  • Pairing up team numbers and sports clips with the lyrics not only had nothing to do with this great song, it managed to cheapen and commercialize it. Way to sell out guys. SportsTV producers are a clueless breed of idiot.

  • @LordFancourt nothing to do with the song? you're kidding, right? It is very much in line with the song. the transition in life is like the transition of an individual athlete in sports. this is not to glorify sports (that is way to commercial) but maybe this song captures some of what little is left in sports that is TRUE and GENUINE. I;m not a hockey person, but WOW! Gretzky as 99?!?!?. Well done performance and well done on the sports metaphor.

  • The great thing about John's songs is we can hear 100 variations of each one (from different events and videos) and they all sound not just great, but give whole new dimensions to each story as the songs tell those stories.

  • way to go guys!

  • one of my favorite songs, it's just so damn good.
