I am hoping they bring Lovejoy back with Rufus Sewell as Lovejoy's brother and Ian McShane has a cameo role would be nice after all he is nearly 70 and has a bigger career than when it started here. I have seen nearly everything he has been in except for Pirates of the Caribbean and he is still doing good who knows maybe he might if offered enough encouragement.
I'm a huge fan of this series, but this ending is awful. If the lesson is that Lovejoy learns to move on he didn't have to pack his life up and drive off. Almost as though the character himself was depressed and resigned rather than confidently sneaky (old Lovejoy). He could've moved on in a better way, either by going to New York to follow Charlotte or just setting up shop somewhere else. What a great lead up followed by a dud of a closer. I'll watch this show forever, just not this episode :)
One of my all time favorite programs. I know a grown man shouldn't live in a fantasy world but this series is where and how I would like to live. Charlotte wouldn't be so bad either. Catch Ian on HBO's Deadwood.
As sad as it is I'm so glad he didnt marry Charlotte, should have married Janey though

The saddest words on television, "Lovejoy doesn't live here anymore."
