  • Consider any herd animal, really. They watch out for each other. They find food for the group, care for their young and defend themselves against predators.

    Like I said in the video, there are the other primates. They have a family and cultural structure. Like a sort of government. There are certain behaviors that are and are not tolerated in the group, etc. What they consider "moral" from their perspective.

    Yes, I believe that animals are conscious. But not all are self-conscious, like man.

  • could you be more specific about your criteria for conciousness in animals. And could you explain which animals would be considered self conscious and why?

    what im talking about is the same kind of human self consciousness but perhaps in a less evolved form. I dont see or havent heard of animals displaying traits like us in the sense of critical thinking, free will, and "I think therefore I am". send me a PM if you want me to explain it better.
