The funny part is that we see 4-12 year olds playing in ditches all the time. Half of the ditches run through or by schools. We make sure those kids leave the ditch and tell them all the dangers, but what can you do. You 100% cannot skate the concrete walls if it is wet at all. that's when you jump out and skate the bike path. in 6 years of skating these ditches, even when clouds are present, I have yet to witness a flash flood. It is extremely apparent in NM when it will rain.
