The ride was showing its age and it was having problems. Yah, the original plan WAS to have a Fast and Furious ride, but, there were contract issues.

And, if you think the ride is crap, how about you take a look at the similarities between BTTF and the Simpsons? I think you need to actually ride it, I feel like you haven't.

It's not seats. You sit in one car that's themed to a Rollar Coaster. It lifts up out the air and sits in front of a 80.2 Foot IMAX Screen. And yes, it does have smell, water, fog, and strobe effects. But it is one big screen you sit in front of the whole time.
