  • Good golly Diana Riggs is a cutie and after all of these years I just got it when he says "...ra boom de ay!" As in Tara boom de ay

  • @GOTTERDAMMERUNGSR - You caught that too - LOL. There's

a lot of double meaning in the dialog of this show (by the writers).

Even the part when she says "he likes his tea stirred anti-clockwise"

which to me is a pun directed at James Bond's martini preference.

Little did the writer's know that she would be in a James Bond movie.

She left the Avengers show for other reasons (the timing was too

long before the Bond movie was filmed - I think...).

  • So, Mr. Bond takes another girl from John Steed.

  • The closest words that sound like it (and would make some sense):

    "Poor me."

  • look at her face 1:58 she's gorgeous and so intense

  • Paused this right at the 2 min. mark

  • Such a sad scene. They play it really well.

Did he ever call her Emma before that?

  • Guess who the mystery man was in the car with Emma Peel as she departs it was infact Patrick MacNee

  • Diana Riggs was one of the most beautiful actresses of all time. I had lost interest in The Avengers when she left. Linda Thornton and that other actress who came after her was no where near as beautiful as Diana Riggs in my opinion.

  • Patrick macnee will always be my first hero

  • This always makes me choke up :-(

  • Just for a second there you can see a really sad look on his face...I don't think he was acting...it seemed real.

  • @whiskeyify I read that after they wrapped this episode, Macnee sat in his dressing room and cried. Diana looks like she's been as well.

  • Diana Rigg was hot.

  • What did she said during 0:44-0:54?

  • @peposo7 "Always keep your bowler on in times of stress...and watch out for diabolical masterminds"

  • @peposo7

she says always keep your bowler on in times of stress and watch out for diabolical masterminds. she says diabolical so lightly you have to turn it up and listen carefully

  • @whiskers1965 - But what does she say at 0:28? What is that one word spoken?

  • @whiskers1965 - Your comment did not post here (but

thanks anyway). This will remain a mystery.

  • @whiskers1965 - I now think she states the word - corny at 0:28.

That's what it sounds most like. Corny means tirelessly simple and

sentimental. And corny can also mean trite (which is hackneyed,

lack of originality or stale from over use). But as you know, the

Avengers dialogue was meant to intentionally poke fun at times.

    This word fits perfectly.

  • thank !!! Great video <3
