I agree 100% with you on that, Layne is what made that band along with McCready. But you have to put into consideration the whole bands point of view....Layne couldnt always be there on stage and in the recording process because of his addictions/depression. Remember Layne lost his GF around this time too.

I get annoyed when people say dumb Godsmack sounds like Layne Staley. Absolute bullshit. Godsmack couldn't sound like Layne on their best day. It's just TOO DAMN BAD that we had to lose Layne and Kurt Cobain....greatest singers on the era. All we have left is Scott Weiland and brutal Pearl Jam, but am not a fan of Eddie "surfboard man" Veder.

Come on dude, Eddy Veddder doesn't like doing shows and I personally don't like his music. He has some good songs, but cannot be compared to Alice IN Chains or Nirvana, they created grundge. It's just my opinion, not arguing, you're more than entitled to your opinion, after all, this is AMERICA, thank GOD. I think we can both agree on that. LOL

Yeah. After Above was put out, the plan was to kick Layne out, and make Mark full-time vocalist. That would have been a HUGE loss on their part.

I agree 100% with you on that, Layne is what made that band along with McCready. But you have to put into consideration the whole bands point of view....Layne couldnt always be there on stage and in the recording process because of his addictions/depression. Remember Layne lost his GF around this time too.
