  • Thanks for sharing the roots of accordion !

    Daria

  • @Valsedesneiges

    Thanks a lot !

    I agree partially...

musette waltz was first danced and played, many decades ago in former centuries (nevertheless it's still fun to play, dance and to listen to those nice combinations of major, minor, diminshed and seventh-chords and typical sequences within melody).

I say partially, because the accordion (and similar working and sounding instruments like bandonion, concertina, harmonica) were used in FOLK- / DANCE and SHANTY music at the same time already.

  • Very beautiful. Thank you.

  • Thank you for the education on accordions. I have always loved accordion music and in 3 brief minutes you have really interested me in the history as well! I will pass this along to my kids who play the accordion.

    The musette is very lovely.

  • Oh yes, the accordion (and its history) is full of interesting stories... about companies all over the world (not only italy, france, germany but US and austria, switzerland too - and others), inventors (makers) and their improvements to the instrument, the manyfold of different versions (chromatic, diatonic... button, key... bandonion, concertina, harmonika...)

The accordion is a quite "young" instrument compared to otheres - but has changed dramatically within its time of existance !

  • I love this song and slidshow! 5* do you have the sheet music?

  • Thank you. Just read the clip-information until the end... there is a link... at the end of the page you'll find this one too...

    (5*)

    Fabrizio

  • Thank you very much !

Yes, I agree completely. This is an example for an easy version of this kind of music. Nevertheless you will need already some experience to play it like that. And it shows, that even simple arrangements can sound so beautyful. Experienced players will add runs, trioles and other phrases - eventually playing a sophisticated baseline in conjunction with a second voice. It's so easy to "improve" this song, an ideal base for modifications and experiments. Just try it !

  • Lovely little waltz LibertangoVieenrose. Thank you for making it simple for us beginners! Very enjoyable.
