The moral of the story... inside the story? or outside? within the story I want to illustrate how easy it is to 'end up' in situations without necessarily realizing the choice was made to be there. The moral is recognize actions as choices and choose empowering ones. Outside the story I would love it if people saw the film and were inspired to turn their challenging experiences into something positive, empowering and perhaps creative.
If I ever see you again, I'm going to call you, Polanski. But only because I like your directing... not because you have sexual relationships with minors. That last part was all Polanski. Nothing to do with you. You know what, just to be safe I'll call you Kubrick instead.
Thanks for the comments guys. Its a really present issue that people, young girls, parents and boys, too, need to be aware of. This movie was for the North Shore Film Fest; a festival for short films in Vancouver, BC.
This is great Gina! So many people think saying NO isn't enough if you don't kick and scream as well which is so disheartening cause then the girls don't fully believe they were raped or if they tell the story they aren't believed in.
