  • who does that? with 2 defenders man i miss watchin him play....

  • @JamesChris87 kobe..with 4 defenders

  • @larvenNIGGA If Kobe can do that against 4 defenders MJ can do that on the entire stadium attendees

  • i Agree but he is not sweeter than kobe's game bc all he used to do were 9 to 11ft jumpers bc he was quick but when someone comes in and take farther shots like kobe when ever he wants he can score he just tries to play team ball not of lately have u seen those 4 cons 40 pt gms i agree tho jordan is slightly better than kobe they're different styled players tho believe that

  • kobe copies mj in every fking way

  • @xxAzZa32xx dont mention that he does it better

  • @kb24comecme forget**

  • @kb24comecme mj does do it better

  • @xxAzZa32xx he's never even done it purposely

  • @kb24comecme listen it doesnt matter if its accident or purposely watever mj does looks beta then any1

  • @xxAzZa32xx when was the last time u had ur eyes get checked?

  • Comment removed

  • @kb24comecme ok dickhead u wanna talk like that ok

i can tell by your username u suk on kobes balls but everyone knows when mj makes a play he doesnt even look human hes just something else and all of his plays are top 10 in highlights. comparing kobe and mj's jumpshot is a tough one but ur seriously asking me when was the last time i checked my eyes when its u that should chec ur eyes cos mj looks beta then kb24 in every play

  • @kb24comecme he did this with 2 ppl on him. u didnt see that? mm pity u should get your eyes checked

  • @xxAzZa32xx idk what to tell u, you're a lame-o stuck in the 90's ay brah this is 2012 lol

  • @kb24comecme i WISH jordan played in this era come on man don't ever compare today's era to whatever highschool d they used to play back then lmao yea i've seen every mj game he used to be my fav player until KOBE BRYANT SHOWED UP!!!!!! GET GET GET AT ME SON

  • @kb24comecme wtf im not stuck up in the 90's idiot but what mj did back then is beta then what kobe has done his whole fking career every play of jordan's was G.O.A.T what kobe does now is nothing! and kobe tries to be mj everything he was even with this move! and if jordan played in this era he would fuk up basketball for good

  • @xxAzZa32xx wtf do u know lol u don't even know how to use the word then it's suppost to be than*************** idiot

  • @kb24comecme one typo? has nothing to do with anything go suk kobes balls u fagstick mj > kobe anyday

  • @xxAzZa32xx only fags mention dicks and balls

  • @kb24comecme not what your mom said

  • @xxAzZa32xx stupid bitch watch ur mouth

  • @kb24comecme bitch tell ur mom to watch her mouth b4 i cum in it!

  • @xxAzZa32xx Ask a kid, any kid....Who was Michael Jordan? He will say, he was the best basketball player in the world. Ask any kid about Kobe, bird or magic... most likely... They won't know... michael Jordan is just MJ and its stupid to even compare this two. What he did its done and no one would ever do it..

  • @babiarmy k but kids dont know shit and magic and larry bird did a lot too if u didnt know i know mj is the best but mj even said hes not the best basketball player ever era has their own best player

  • @xxAzZa32xx i WISH jordan played in this era come on man don't ever compare today's era to whatever highschool d they used to play back then lmao yea i've seen every mj game he used to be my fav player until KOBE BRYANT SHOWED UP i mean no disrespect to mj because i think he was the best player and still will ever be im just saying kobe is way more interesting to playing bball, kobe bryant altho is way better than mj at footwork

  • Traveling?

  • @dave474c He didn't travel...ole dumbass!

  • @Domini478 I don't know if the NBA rule is the same as international. If you throw the ball off the board & retrieve it.. it's traveling. Maybe it's the way it is in your country, I'm not sure. But you can't do that in ball. Not international anyway.

    Peace.

  • @dave474c This is correct. You cannot use the backboard to pass to a teammate or assist yourself under FIBA rules. Jordan here, however, I think would have disguised it enough as a shot to could get away with it if it were a FIBA game.

  • @Louie212121 I believe that if he comes back down with the ball after retrieving it from the back board it is traveling but while he is still in the air he can pass it or as seen here shoot it without being called for traveling. The key is he is not on the floor when he has the balls in has hand, if we came back down with it after catching the self pass then it would be a travel.

  • @acedamace This would mean that under FIBA rules someone cannot rebound their own shot and land on the floor again. The ref simply has to deem that you've used the backboard to assist yourself or a teammate, rather than put up an actual shot. It would take brave ref to say this isn't a shot.

  • unintentionally though

  • Nice assist from the backboard!

  • he can jus do that..

  • stop writing essays.

  • i wonder do they count that as a rebound and a shot

  • @dragwill5 that's exactly what they do

  • @dragwill5 I would say it has to be. He missed the lay-up and got it back on the tip-in. Rebound and put back. #win

  • i like to poop alot

  • Like horseplaying in the kitchen.. it's natural.

  • that play was like Philly cheesesteak it had everything 1 assist, 1 rebounds, 1 layup, 2 points.

  • omg people are so ignorant jordan is a great player but he didnt invent this move. in this clip he was going for the lay up CLEARLY and he missed so he followed it with a putback. when kobe and tmac does it, they throw it deliberately off the board and self alley oop it. and this clip is nowhere as good as when tmac or kobe does it

  • @nohatzzz123 Yeah because when Kobe and Tmac do it they are on a fastbreak. Jordan was in traffic and just made something happen, he wasn't trying to show off.

  • @bigfrotes9912 no thats not true they also do it in traffic like when kobe did it during the 06 semifinals. and tamc has done it a lot of times too

  • Man. the most amazing thing is that Michael took off really far out from the basket on some awkward looking steps. His athleticism was of another world. A player like Lebron in this situation would have to take a few more steps and possibly travel to perform this move. Michael makes it look so easy and I think this fact makes a lot of the laymen feel that his game wasn't that great because he didn't do things that "look hard."

  • mj just looks so cool anytime he is in the air

  • If you listen at 0:11, the PA announcer says "offensive interference on the Bulls"...... The basket apparently didn't count.

  • jordan didn't put much roll on the ball, it just kissed the board. good thing he's the GOAT

  • he tried to make tha lay up dummies..get ur IQ up b4 u post!!!

  • @yoboyboy504 UMAD? lmao

  • i always thought jamal crawford invented it

  • oh!!! that was a great play! MJ.... pure talent!!

  • Does this count as assisting himself?

  • LOL Ok guys...Mike totally did NOT do that on purpose. He tried to make the layup, missed, was the first to rebound it, and then made it.

  • @JBarber3d You can't prove that's what happened, and so I'll assume your wrong and mj did do it on purpose. Considering how he was so good and all

  • omg you guys are so stupid NOBODY HAS TO INVENT SOMETHING LIKE THAT

it comes natural... it is not so difficult to think off.. just hard to pull off. geezus.

  • Kobe sucks

  • @JoshA7fold compared to MJordan! YES, lol

  • Comment removed

  • jordan didnt invent this....mj was a great player but damn get off his dick....and for whoever say he perfected nothins perfect...the game is always evolving and adding somethin new...he was the athlete of hit era but i really doubt he would do what he did now.....

  • @coreyhill1963 a prime Jordan now, would RAPE the new pussy ass league of today... get a clue!

  • @coreyhill1963 Phil Jackson and Larry Brown actually said Jordan would destroy league nowadays. I know game is evolving for every sports, but I personally think all the best stuff came out in 90s for NBA, only.

  • @coreyhill1963 sorry dude but the game was way harder in jordan's era. the sort of rules they have now to prevent defense from checking the offense didn't exist back then. if you gave a prime jordan that kind of offensive freedom, the things he would do to todays league might just be illegal in some countries. there would be absolutely no stopping him.

  • yea i really jus dont see it i guess....

  • @coreyhill1963 Are you kidding me? The league has not evolved that much over the past 10 years and with the way the game is called nowadays, Jordan would go off for close to 40 a night. No handchecking = many more trips to the free throw line because NOBODY can stay in front of him. I wish he was able to play in today's game

  • why the fuck does every mj video have people comparing kobe to him??? Shut the fuck up and watch the damn video. The video title says" MJ" NOT KOBE!

  • Did that count as a missed shot and a rebound?

  • @FuchoDenero Both.

He attempted a shot, missed, got the rebound and made the shot.

  • YO kids this is the storie micheal jordan invented all of those period

  • jordan did this on purpose. Jordan would never miss a layup that bad. man was a genius on the court.

  • Basketball is freakin AMAZING. Im a girl and i absolutly loveee it! and men, *cough cough* sorry i mean "boys" you cant say its not a girls sport, because man is it ever! I think girls are more vicious then guys... <3

  • @fuzzygreensox1

Then why does the WNBA fucking BLOW?

  • no one can be like mike!

  • What are the chances of Jordan happen to accidentally miss the basket and was quick reacting for the rebound? Just saying...

  • jordan wasnt the first one to do this. but since he is jordan, he did it better than anyone else

  • jordan borrowed from julius ,iceman, and his favorite player david thompson all the smart players do it

each player is uniquely talented mj was mj sadly he is gone get over it

  • shit that was fresh to death

  • @jordanlover23 it wasn't intentionally dude...

  • Sorry balla4life but it is very obvious that MJ did this intentionally.

  • I can't believe you people arguing wether it's intentional or not. It was a great play, just leave it at that. Appreciate.

  • Not intentionally though...

  • @daNXT81 It was clearly intentional. Watch the replay and how he wards off the defender on his right knowing that he wants to go back up to get the ball off the glass and tip it back in without being contested.

  • @jordanlover23 Wow son, first off: Your name is beyond gay. "Jordan Lover"??? Really dude you are seriously a homosexual for that. Secondly, this was clearly unintentional, and by the time the ball left jordan's hand he realized it wasn't going in and prepared himself for a tip in. Kobe actually SHOT the ball with the intention of getting it back, not the same. But whatever, i'm still in shock that you actually made a name revealing your secret desire for mj, how pathetic lol

  • the great players today watched mj

  • every move idea etc started somewhere so maybe even jordan didn't start this... but yes t mac vince or kobe werent the first

  • I'm pretty sure he didn't do this on purpose, when Kobe does it he does it on purpose

  • @gw024 he didnt do this on purpose? really?

  • Well actually many many players been there before him. Think about Magic or Wilkins ... But Jordan is Jordan ... nothing more nothing less.

  • larry bird did this every second game :)

  • And people think guys like TMac and Kobe invented this lol. He also did this in another game I've seen.

  • @jordanlover23 only because he was born first

  • @byronlam24 If Jordan didnt come first, Kobe and all these other guys wouldnt have half the moves they have. Jordan invented them.

  • @Kamikazie04 Exactly! how is move kobe without knowing MJ... I agree with you BRO

  • @Kamikazie04 i dont think he did this intentionally. I think he just missed the layup and got the rebound himself

  • @Kamikazie04 MJ did not invent everything.

He took lots of moves from Dr.J and he admitted it, he sayed : "No doctor, maybe no Michael."

  • @BornToBeRollingStone dj does nt move like michael jordan are u serious

  • @ta4life27 Yes he's serious Michael idolised Dr.J. They loved to drive and dunk it, Dr.j can also palm the ball and wave it like a grapefruit and they can both stay in the air and perform acrobatic layups and dunks, brush up on your histort before you criticise someone. Back then everyone tried to copy Dr.J (and Magic Johnson) before Jordan came along at least that's what my dad told me

  • @NBALJFan23 some dunks but i am 29 years old in i been watching since i was 5 some dunks maybe be as far mj s jump shot in cross overs thats all mj dr j can t even shoot that well mj created a style to the game

  • @NBALJFan23 Why the f.. is everybody thinking MJ is copying Dr.J. He didn't play like MJ at all. MJ was a huge fan of David Thompson and wanted to be like him. David Thompson was the superatheltic shooting guard before MJ, they had much more similarities than MJ and Dr.J.

  • @HymanKaplan Come to think of it everyone just copies everyone or else the game wouldn't have been the game we play today. It doesn't necessarily mean they pattern the game from one player but they would at least try and re-do a move they like and even improve it.

  • @Kamikazie04 Elgin Baylor and David Thompson invented them, Jordan just perfected them..

  • @Kamikazie04

    Not true.

If Jordan never existed, the majority of his moves would still exist by now.

He is famous because he was the first to invent those moves.

Basically, you are claiming that if Christopher Columbus had not set sail, America would have never been found. It would be a different place, but it would still have been discovered nonetheless.

  • @truekoreanlover America was already settled hundreds of years before Columbus was born, so I'm pretty sure he didn't "discover" it

  • @btc430

Yea I know, by the native Americans.

I would call him out for being a genocidal maniac, but idiots would probably start saying, "Nooo, he's a hero."

  • @truekoreanlover

Christopher Columbus did not discover America. He discovered the Caribbean Islands.

  • @truekoreanlover

    No shit.

He found the islands and was a genocidal maniac. Got anything new?

  • @truekoreanlover Not to be rude . How the hell Christopher discovered America . When people were already living there ?

  • @MrHueyboy Yes, there were natives already here, but Columbus made it know to the rest of the world that it existed. So, he wasn't the first person to find it, but he was the first person to let everyone else know about it.

  • @MrHueyboy

Not to be rude, but you have worse grammar than a fucking three year old.

Fact = Christopher Columbus found some Islands, eventually found other places... etc etc etc, he was a genocidal maniac who should not be celebrated.

History = Christopher Columbus discovered America; therefore, we celebrate it and ignore the Natives that were slaughtered.

History is a social construct: the winner writes it.

  • @truekoreanlover I guess so ,and fact : Who are you trying to impress ? Its not like your going to die if you use wrong grammar . Yea its good, but there's a time and place for everything :D

  • @MrHueyboy

Who are you trying to impress with your wrong grammar?

A question is not a fact... I thought that was plainly obvious.

I'm not trying to impress; rather, I am trying to get people to realize why 99.9% of all arguments begin...

    People misunderstand each other.

The ambiguity of English, the low-level of grammar/rhetoric, and the insanely skewed assumptions made create endless arguments over... nothing.

  • @truekoreanlover D00De y0U ar3 a Qu33r

    fAgiT

  • @drek100sm

You took the type to write that in leet...

    hmmm....

  • @truekoreanlover

Christopher Columbus thought he was sailing to India when he found America, Michael Jordan made no such folly, bad comparison.

  • @PatrickEganLong

The comparison is between Jordan's "creation" of moves and Columbus' "discovery" of America.

Nice try dumbass, maybe you should learn how to read if you are going to troll.

  • @truekoreanlover

YEAH and Columbus' "Discovery" was an accident and Jordan's "Creation" was entirely on purpose. In other words, Columbus discovered something that was already there and Jordan created something entirely new with his play, bad comparison. You're the troll.

  • @PatrickEganLong

I take it back, you are not a troll; rather, just a complete moron who makes his own assumptions from other's interpretations.

    1. "Discovery" of America would have happened regardless if Columbus went or not.

    2. "Creation" of Jordan's moves would have happened regardless of his existence.

I state this rather clearly, yet you exceed expectations and continue to miss it.

    Good job dumbass.

  • @PatrickEganLong I'm not sure what everybody's comparison of Columbus and Jordan is about but I can see the point which is this: Jordan didn't create any new moves, he just utilized and dare I say revolutionized some that were already there, but his pull up jumper, fade away, cross, etc existed long before him. That doesn't take anything away from his greatness, it's just an angle of seeing how he became so great.

  • @truekoreanlover i never saw a single new move by jordan. everything he ever did I saw Connie Hawkins do in the 70s n that was after the Hawk's knee was blowed out.

MJ was a Jedi no question but he didn't invent any of that respect them old guys that came before

  • @ZipperZappleZ

Not sure what you're trying to prove by restating what I say.

"The majority of his moves would still exist by now."

Moves are labeled by those who popularize them.

So, what was the point of re-establishing something I stated?

  • @truekoreanlover

    1. Columbus' discovery would have happened because America was ALREADY THERE.

    2. Jordan's moves were created by him, a unique human who's moves honestly have been imitated but NOT re-created because there will never be another him.

His moves are unique to him, America was not unique to Columbus, bad comparison.

  • @truekoreanlover

And his "moves" aren't anything like a crossover or behind the back dribble, all of that stuff has been around forever, it's what he did within the context of the given possible moves in basketball with his unique athletic abilities and style of play that made them "his moves" in the first place, you can't say someone would have done what he did, they couldn't have, creation is entirely different from discovery.

  • @PatrickEganLong

Creation is rather synonymous with discovery in many instances.

Eventuality. "Monkey's in a room with a typewriter >>> Shakespeare was it?"

Something along those lines. It is bound to happen.

Creation = Discovery can be argued, especially in terms of basketball.

Creating a style vs. discovery a combination that creates a style

  • @truekoreanlover you said "He is famous because he was the first to invent those moves." That's false.

Larry Bird was doing all those moves before Jordan was in the league, Dr. J did them before Bird, and Connie Hawkins did them and 500 more besides, before that.

The 60s NBA players all flatly state as fact that that Elgin Baylor invented all of Jordan's moves.

Why do you claim Jordan invented them, when he didn't?

  • @ZipperZappleZ

"That's false." That's entirely dependent upon perspective.

As my other discussion shows, style, depending on perspective, does or does not take part in invention.

"The 60s NBA players flatly state..." A very, VERY bold claim seeing as you make it an absolute.

    Back that up please.

"Why do you claim..." Once again, depends entirely on the perspective of invention.

Please back up your 60s statement though, I would really like to see if that is real or not.

  • @truekoreanlover Why should I waste my time quoting sources? You didn't.

You claim to know so much about basketball, look it up yourself.

  • @ZipperZappleZ

"Why should I waste my time quoting sources?"

Because you stated the opinions of others in an absolute form while I voiced general logic and general theory of perspectives vs. reality.

If I state the opinions of others, I will back up my sources.

So, once again, please state where this evidence is.

I do not claim to know so much about basketball.

Maybe you missed the whole point: the perspective-based definition invention/creation.

    Very little about basketball itself.

  • @truekoreanlover WOW.

I just read your other posts on here. Christopher Columbus.

You're the last person I would ever want to talk to, about anything.

argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue argue ar..

  • @ZipperZappleZ

Great job. I will assume you completely BSed the part about the "60s stars."

It would have been great for your argument had it actually been true.

Rather childish I see. You can't discuss your own perspective without contradicting and lying to cover up holes in your own theories, so you resort to childish tactics.

    Hahaha, I truly pity you.

    Have a good one, kid.

  • @truekoreanlover Everyone just shut the fuck up. Love,Devan

  • @masteroftheblaster1

    Devan, shut the fuck up.

    Love, Tim.

  • @truekoreanlover I will end you

  • @Kamikazie04 Jordan didn't invent anything. He perfected it. :)

  • @Kamikazie04 invented? Jordan took qualities from oscar robertson (post fadeaway) and had the athletic ability that reminded people of Dr. J. Pay homage to those that came before MJ. He 'innovated' the game like how people see Kobe today. The reason I dont mention Lebron is that he doesn't have a single go to move that uses fundamental footwork like Oscar, Michael, Dr J and Kobe.

  • @Kamikazie04 oh shut up

  • @Kamikazie04 Not! Jordans moves came from Dr. J.

  • @Kamikazie04 Please, Jordan didn't invent all of his repertoire. Jordan said he evolved from Larry and Magic himself. Jordan copied their moves. It's unfair to hate on Kobe because he happens to be similar to Jordan.

  • @TryXuHard How can Jordan get his moves from two gravity bound players like Magic and Bird? That's dumb. He admired them as players but didn't emulate them in any way, shape, or form. His moves were a combination of David Thompson and Dr. J, plus his own creativity

  • @fundyspokerblog He still copied people before his generation , which is my whole point

  • @TryXuHard Jordan did copy people before him, but nobody has ever done all the moves that Jordan has so elegantly. Jordan was just insane, he was so good that he made it look like he invented all the moves.

  • @ragnargrimnar HE STILL COPIED PEOPLE. Doesn't matter how or when or who. COPYING IS COPYING.

  • @Kamikazie04 Michael Jordan is the GOAT. But kobe didn't base his moves on Jordan. Do your homework.

  • @Kamikazie04 Man...you can tell how old this is cuz people were wearing some high and tight shorts.

  • @Kamikazie04 why dont u suck his dick while ur at it? did it never occur to you that he mightve acquired ot copied his moves from the past legends who came before him? haha "jordan invented them" go live in the 80s dickhead

  • @Kamikazie04 arrogant.

  • @jordanlover23 The reason why Jordan didn't do this more often is because he was able to finish the first shot and thus there was no rebound to tip in. The things you can do with hang time, long arms, huge hands, and great touch around the basket...

  • @jordanlover23

I mean Michael didn't do that on purpose like Tracy McGrady did he went for a shot missed it, rebounded it and put it back all in one swoop, which is less show offy and more impressive.

  • @jordanlover23 and Jordan probably learnt it from Bird, who did this a few times as well, who probably saw someone else do it and so on

  • @jordanlover23

I'm sorry but Tmac did it with more flair than Kobe or anyone in the game could imagine at that time. It seems like here MJ did it as the only option left while Tmac was running down the floor and at 3 point line he was like: 'Fuck it, I'ma throw this bitch of the backboard and slam it down on my old Raptors team'. He was Jordan-esque in Magic without any work ethic whatsoever, pure talent
