Could you please at least use english subtitles ? Maybe i start to write comments in my own language: francuski smierdzi kupa - niech sie zabojady w koncu angielskiego naucza! Lets all start doing it....
Btw, I'm still working on those English subtitles in my free time. It will be on the second video which explains "all" and originally directed me to the quasiturbine.
The Quasiturbine is the coolest engine I have ever come across. Even neater than a Wankle, because the rotative part is a FLEXIBLE parrallelogram, not a fixed, three-faced rotor. In steam mode, unlike a steam turbine, it gives high torque at low revs. I think it would be ideal for an HP steam locomptive. Would the people behind the 'ACE' proposal care to think about this?
how are they going to prevent blow-by during detonation with such a big area on the side? Wankel has a spindle shape and does not have a flat surface on the inside of gas chamber like this one.
All the info you require should be on their website. I am not an engineer myself so I can't answer for you. I think the answer is in the section called "Theory; wankel differences." Here's a link.
"h t t p:/ / quasiturbine . promci . qc . ca/ ETheoryQTVersusWankel . htm"
The video doesn't show how incredible this new engine is, and cuts just when it gets to the interesting part, but all the information can be found, in detail, on the website. Check it out.
Problem is so far they didnt show tests of real ICE versions so far, and i doubt they manufactured yet any. All of the videos just show compressed air engines.
Nom they haven't manufactured any yet. Since it comes from Quebec, and not the US, they don't have gazillions of dollars for development, so progress is slow. The vid is only air-compressed, yes, but other models exist. They are focusing on air compression to reach that 0-pollution target.
"A prototype of an internal combustion engine to this design was constructed, and enthusiastically reviewed in European Automotive Design magazine September, 1999. The prototype was turned by an external engine for 40 hours."

Very cool technology. Terrible name.

When do we get to see a real internal combustion quasiturbine powering a car?

when someone takes control of the monopoly that is the oil industry

The quasiturbine is patented, no one wants to pay royalties. Maybe when the patent expires we will see more of them.

Oh, and you can see more videos on their website of the engine in movement. I'll upload them on here when I have more time.

No, the go kart used compressed air.

Look up "quasiturbine" on google. Apparently, I can't put up the address here.

OTOH the HCCI approach is very interesiting.
