NCsoft has really done themselves alot of good by releasing this trailer, bringing alot of people back to the game who maybe left due grinding levels and inspiring people to play, if they can keep updates on going, this could compete with gw2 release
@FluXPathogen the only reason I would disagree is because GW2 is going to be BTP so no monthly, and with an MMO if your release is kinda shitty its hard to make it up to the players even with these really great updates where as if GW2 releases without a hitch and everyone loves it GW2 will beat out Aion for sure then. But we'll see im hoping Aion can hold its own I like all the stuff im seeing in all the trailers.
The patch will be slowly implimented, in what order i dont know, but i could take a guesse to say graphics, xp reduce, underwater features would be first.
Aion looks pretty good. I still think its not comparable to games like Blade&Soul or Tera Online. Look at those 2 games before rating this comment please!
Blade & Soul is from Nc Soft but as far as I heard not the same devoloper team, both games startet production 2007 seperatly, but I agree it will take "at least" a year untill the game is going to be published in Korea (if it is going to go similar with B&S as it did with Aion an additional year more till released in the US/EU).
I play it, yes Im only lv29 yet but I played L2 4 years which is twice harder at half way through than Aion is, if not more. Everybody who leaves the game because of grinding are bunch of wimps. NCsoft games rewards you at the end game and it's worth it. This game have everything that can't be replaced perfect pvp system, good Lore, gorgeous graphics, and its not too easy everything else can be added. In those 4 years NCsoft never ruined my hopes with their updates (unlike blizzard).
Aion is far from perfect... So is all MMOs. But something that sets one apart from the rest is the developers commitment to updates like *this*. Even if they take a long time to complete, it massively extends the game's life. And yes, NC has a history of putting good content in updates instead of waiting for expansions... But like its been said, We don't know till they tell us clearly.

It's been stated that this will most likely not be -one- patch, but these features will be implemented one after the other in multiple patches, most likely when they get it too work with the current game mechanics etc.
I mean, I love Aion. But don't try to hype expectations. These will come eventually, and it shall be good.
i am a old wow player, and for some weeks ago when i saw Aion then i started look at it on youtube and this change it all this video makes wow looks like a ps2 game or something but there is 1 thing I always will love with the wow and that is the voice that speak in the wow trailer XD

Aion is an outstanding MMORPG. I was apprehensive at first about trying out another new mmo, but this one proved to be up there with my favorite mmos in the past... What's even more exciting is the future of it, this game is already outstanding and theres even more to look forward to. I'm extremely pleased with this game.
WOW is pay to play and it sucks just as bad as your description any game you play has horrible cheap players and even pay to plays have crappy servers not to many have good game play with good graphics its one or the other and paying for a game that dose not have both sucks some have a good story line but graphics suck or there are ones with awsome graphics but the story line sucks and besides NCSoft makes more then enough with there other games they don't need to make every game a p2p

No way, I'm pretty tired of comic games, I want a game with graphics and an alternative fantasy world like that in the vision movie, but I won't start before it's finished, don't want a let down again.
what this game needs to change is to add that same thing they had in Lineage2
show where your quest objectives are on the map.. its fast enough to level up with quests but not finding where to go and u get like 30 quests from lvl 24-25 and so many of them you dont know where to go... that's the only thing that's frustrating.. i really hate that part.
So what? They could just enable fliying at more places instead of those stupid mounts if moving too slow is a problem. Also gliding, you can use that everywhere.
But I don't really see a problem with speed, why faster? Whats wrong with walking 2 oder 3 minutes? (Lazy?) You want to travel a long route so you will need a appropriate long time thats just normal and gives you a feeling for the size of the world.

It's a vision of what NcSoft thinking about adding to Aion, so nothing is clear atm when this is comming and if it's comming.

Aion is an outstanding MMORPG. I was apprehensive at first about trying out another new mmo, but this one proved to be up there with my favorite mmos in the past... What's even more exciting is the future of it, this game is already outstanding and theres even more to look forward to. I'm extremely pleased with this game.

WOW is pay to play and it sucks just as bad as your description any game you play has horrible cheap players and even pay to plays have crappy servers not to many have good game play with good graphics its one or the other and paying for a game that dose not have both sucks some have a good story line but graphics suck or there are ones with awsome graphics but the story line sucks and besides NCSoft makes more then enough with there other games they don't need to make every game a p2p

My PC is only 5 years old,AMD Athlon(tm) 64X dual core processor 5200+ 2.71 GHz, 3GB RAM,EVGA GTX 9800+ 512 Graphics card. My graphics are just fine I prefer games that have better texture a game that had more work put into it.

This is a trailer which presents the features currently under development. Nothing of this is Online at the moment. But even though, Aion was released in Korea about a year before the international release this autumn.

So I just quited aion and started WoW again, but this looks way better than WoW, and I don't wanna quit, get dispointed etc... how long is it til this is released and when should I start playing aion then?? :>

what this game needs to change is to add that same thing they had in Lineage2
show where your quest objectives are on the map.. its fast enough to level up with quests but not finding where to go and u get like 30 quests from lvl 24-25 and so many of them you dont know where to go... that's the only thing that's frustrating.. i really hate that part.

I really don't know why everyone wants those stupid mounts, I prefer flying myself when I already have wings!
Also those weapons.. the stupid crossbow shoots like a gun wtf?! Dwarf in WoW? -.-*
Or this strange "hand" at 6:06 .... rubbish ...
The other stuff like better graphics, houseing and the huge fight at the end looks cool.

So what? They could just enable fliying at more places instead of those stupid mounts if moving too slow is a problem. Also gliding, you can use that everywhere.
But I don't really see a problem with speed, why faster? Whats wrong with walking 2 oder 3 minutes? (Lazy?) You want to travel a long route so you will need a appropriate long time thats just normal and gives you a feeling for the size of the world.

im good at gliding but the problem with it is the cooldown, when u ride a mount u will not have a cooldown

10 secs? lol dude its more 1 minute, giling is very usefull and cool but mounts are still needed

1minute? lol you probably mistake cd (cooldown) with flighttime! xD
cd for wings are 10 secounds and flighttime is 1min with the standard wings
Plus you maybe don't know it but you can increase your flighttime up to 10minutes+
I guess your just too low (with level 27) to know these things.... (I'm level 50)

Hey, I've played Wow, War, Flyff, just ask and i've played it (above certain lvls, wow = wotlk, War = tier 4, flyff = job 3) and i'm really really considering this game! it looks so pure and awesome :D But i'm not sure :o , anything beyond the ordinary (grind, quest blabla etc) that you might tip me with? :3
