Although I play Halo now, the Metroid Prime series was my first sci/fi series, though I haven't played Prime 1, as I started with Prime 2: Echoes. But all the same.. I love Halo and Metroid, there shouldn't be any arguments about which is better though Halo does have more of a following I believe.. But both are epic Sci fi series, with epic music, epic gameplay and both deserve equal adoration and commendation! Thumbs up if you agree!
@NinjaSyao Uh, no. :/ The game sold quite well and had a good amount of reservations. It's not really selling anymore because as the box cover says, it's a collector's edition which pretty much means limited edition and now they pretty much ran out of copies.

I wish people would stop bashing on Other: M. It's a good game, has good gameplay (the first person was a bit of a pain but usually fine) and the story was ok. So what if Samus had a bit of personality? Don't cry about it, heck, she had the same personality in fusion. The only difference is that it wasn't voiced. I have played every Metroid game and have been a fan of every one apart from Return of Samus.
@kraus199 Plus if your mortal enemy was reincarnated after defeating them over and over again after he slaughtered your parents in front of your eyes, you'd suffer some PTSD too
The Prime trilogy will always have a place in my heart. It's music like this that made it truly great. I can't think of one song from Metroid: Other M that was memorable...that tells you something.

I have yet to play Other M, but from what I heard, it pales in comparison to the Metroid Prime Trilogy. I can't wait to play it, though. I want to have my own opinion of what Nintendo did with Metroid, a series that had almost died out after Super Metroid and then redefined by a Texan company.

this was, sadly enough, the first Metroid game I ever played, I saw it at the store and decided to get it, but for whatever reason didn't play it till a while later like a Month ago when I start to play Metroid Prime and am like whythefuckwasInotplayingthis? I just beat Corruption last night now I have nothing to do. xD I think I'll try and get some of the older metroid games from the virtural shop on wii once I figure out how it works to prepare for Other M!
@ZKoftherebellion DO IT! you can probably go without playing the original in my opinion, but from one metroid fan to another, GET SUPER METROID!!!!! it is by far THE BEST metroid in the franchise.
and no worries about it being the first metroid you've played. first one i played was Prime 1 back on the gamecube, and that was one hell of an intro to the series for me ^_^
@davij086 I just ripped the audio, and this song wasn't there... at least it wasn't where I looked. The one I EXPECTED it to be was "Front_End_32k.fsb" located in "\fe\audio" but that's Prime 3's title/menu music.
Care to point out the location?
(oh, and the formats are NOT the same - Prime 1 & 2 use dsp, while Prime 3 and the music in the menus use fsb)
@nintendomaniac64 The sound format for all 3 primes is the same, therefore it can be extracted, just requires dolphin to rip and then do want you want, that reminds me *Rips music :D

It didn't sell that well so Nintendo pulled the plug out of manufacturing more copies. You can still get it in the EU for relatively cheap prices.
