  • Today's popular music is all smoke and mirrors. This is the real deal!

  • Wooh 251!! ;)

  • Whoa shit (sorry don't usually swear here, but I have to)! That scat they did was... amazing!! I love the A. Sisters, but when it comes to scatting, the B. Sisters always did better! I'm pretty sure I will not be able to do that scat they did! Need to listen to more of their songs!

  • I guarantee in 50 years on youtube people are going to be looking up Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Radiohead, or Foo Fighters reminiscing about the good old days.

  • @JMaggot69 Thankfully, I'll be dead by then.

  • Come on guys. Whats with all the bashing of modern music? Music of each decade has its place. Back then, there were plenty of people who thought this was crap and that older music was the best. Learn to respect music of all generations because one day, believe it or not, people are going to be looking back and saying the music of this current generation was the best.

  • Thankyou...

  • Brilliantly rhythmical and witty. An historical track to be treasured.

  • I love all the old stuff like this.....so peaceful

  • The days when I was one of a few hundred people listening to the Boswell sisters are clearly over. 100 000 views !!!

  • no haters here? i wonder why that is..

  • They are two completely different songs.

  • Why are there two names for this song? Ive found a new baby and everybody loves my baby. What gives?

  • @momomesh123456789

This music is alot better than rock, instead of rock bands yelling there heads off on the Mic, there's musicians like Fred Astaire, Boswell sisters, Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith, and many more lovely artists... >:(

  • Where can i get this song on cd/mp3?

  • @stevenjeh Go to iTunes, there is plenty of Boswell Sisters collections with this song on them.

  • This is going to be my Quince theme, and I really like it.((:

  • That vocal part at the 1:00 mark is amazing!

  • i was born in the wrong era

  • I love the Boswells. Little music history. The Andrews Sisters copied the Boswells sounds. If you listen to the Andrews Sisters early recordings you can hear the influence. :) I love them both!

  • @JBfanforlife Same way Lang and Venuti are the original Django and Grappelli... except like you say that doesn't mean their any less good

  • I love the Boswell Sisters- they sure knew how to sing that hot jazz. Incredible tight harmonies and innovative arrangements by sister Connee.

  • yaya

  • The best vocal sisters group EVER!!!!

  • Pretty trio of honeys!! TNX

  • iv always been fond of music from the 1921-1938 they have a tune about em that makes them good not that modern music isn't good (depends what band)

  • Check out The Stolen Sweets from Portland, OR. They've got this sound down perfectly.

  • this is fantastic!

  • I loved this. Thank you for posting this.

  • The early 1930s continued the 1920s style of Hot Jazz before the tide turned in 1935 to Swing with Benny Goodman's band and no one ever looked back.

  • my 3rd grade class had to learn this song...interesting that the music teacher introduced majority black kids a wide-variety of songs.

  • @vivecarocks Now, THAT's a teacher!! Lucky you. This music is far more important in American history than "Peter and the Wolf"--which was forced on me every year throughout grade school.

  • As I see it, the 20's and 30's were all about experimentation with musical forms. And who did it better than the Boswell Three!! This song is the living proof.

  • Thanks for posting. Really love this stuff

  • woa! you're font is so art deco !

  • Fucking awesome

    I love oldies x3

They sang!!!!!!! Not like the shit music is now (I sound old... xD)

Now you just need to look hot and BAM

    No talent needed

    (Excuse my curses x) )

  • @Homero4real I Agree. xD

  • @Homero4real Back then you didn't need autotune to sing.

  • @Homero4real i dunno I think some of the new music is pretty nice. :X

Then again tugs of Nostalgia may make people think otherwise.

Can't deny how this song is good tho. C:

  • they make from there voice an real instrument !

  • they are so GOOOODDDDD it seems to me that they have been better as the andrew sisters.. such good singers ! great great thanks for posting this treasure! eva

  • this is great its appropriate and uplifting for a situation i am in....where i guess I am the baby in this case. Well viewed that way.

  • Great Bunny Berrigan trumpet solo too.

  • Don't cha' just love the Bozzies!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is sooooo good!!!

    Thanxs!!!

    Jazzy greetings

  • Wow, they sure can sing.

  • The Andrews Sisters have nothing on these Chicks!!

  • amazing

so good memories when i hear this

  • This rocks, although the scat on "Yessir, that's my baby" takes some getting used to.

  • I take it you refer to the 3-part harmony bridge. That is "gibberish," a sort of double-dog-latin that the Bozzies were famous for placing in song.

It is actually "Yes Sir, that's My Baby"

  • I did a little research, and discovered that "gibberish" is a word game with its own set of rules. Whatever, it's a great arrangement, particularly for a 10 inch 78.

  • I LOVE SISTER ACTS! There're some great 20's ones worth seeking out - the Trix Sisters, my own favourite

  • They are the greatest of the Sisters, everrrrr. Magic

  • Way ahead of their time!

  • My favorite version of this song, besides Aileen Stanley's. The Bozzies rcok!

  • Love it have cd's of there recordings

  • Thanks! They were the first of the great "Sisters" acts...amazing sororal chemistry! ;)

    Warmest regards,

    -RR
