Tools I used: Jigsaw, clamp, dremel, cordless drill. I used a wood "milling" bit to round out the spaces where the rubber bumpers and spring go, since I didn't have a small holesaw. If you mod your own PC, then you should have all the tools you need ;)
I've had rock band for about a month now I never wear shoes while playing and my pedal has already broken. After searching the interwebs it looks like repairing my pedal is the cheapest and best way (unless i feel like spending 50+ dollars)

You can drive it out with a nail and a hammer. Then pull it with pliers.
