  • i think after he played g6 qh4 might have been good as well

  • Thanks for you excellent commentary and interesting games, very helpful.

  • @houghtonhall I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching and good luck with your chess!

  • Nice videos. I recently discovered this channel, and I too am surprised that you aren't more well-known. Your analysis is excellent.

Can I ask what software you're using? It looks like you're running a mac and I haven't found anything that I like that runs on OSX.

  • Hi there. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your kind words. I have produced videos on both mac and pc. The software on the mac is shredder classic. It is not as feature rich as the titles such as Fritz and Rybka on the pc, but it is still reasonably good overall. There are more recent versions available, and I am pretty sure you can get an evaluation version. Thanks again for watching!

  • Nice video, I don't know why you don't have many viewers, but your videos are very good and instructive.

  • That's a good question, but not one that keeps me up at night! I get a lot out of making the videos and I know there is a fairly small but dedicated group of subscribers that enjoy and appreciate what I do on this channel. That's good enough for me. I am sure I could get more views if I did blitz/bullet chess videos, but personally, I don't think there's a lot of value in that. Thanks a lot for watching. I appreciated your comment and involvement.

  • Yep, I;m one of those dedicated to your channel.

  • A great lesson on patience in a winning position. I know I tend to be anxious in a winning situation and press when it would be better to just wait and improve the other pieces that are not part of the immediate attack and insure the position yet keeping the pressure on at the same time. I think you demonstrated that point well. For sure it is something I need to work on. Thx for the vid.

  • Thanks a lot for the comment, road dog. Yes, it can be difficult to hold back when you feel that you are on the cusp of breaching your opponents defenses. Brute force is sometimes the answer; but you have to know when to switch gears and respond in a more measured way. Of course, it is not always easy to know. That's what makes chess so tricky. Thanks for watching. I am glad you got something out the video.
